Staliwny element skrzyżowania lub rozjazdu nawierzchni torowej, zwłaszcza blok krzyżownicy rozjazdu kolejowego, stanowi odlew ze stopu zawierającego węgiel w ilości 0,18-0,24% wag., korzystnie powyżej 0,20% wag., mangan w ilości 1,60-1,90% wag., krzem w ilości do 0,50% wag., korzystnie do 0,35% wag., chrom w ilości 1,60 do 1,90% wag., nikiel w ilości 0,30-0,50% wag., korzystnie 0,40% wag., molibden w ilości 0,30-0,40% wag., wanad 0,10-0,20% wag., miedź do 0,20% wag., tytan do 0,04% wag., glin 0,02-0,06% wag., a ponadto fosfor w ilości nie większej niż 0,025% wag., siarkę w ilości nie większej niż 0,02% wag. oraz żelazo bilansowe i nieuniknione zanieczyszczenia. Ujawniono też obróbkę cieplną staliwnego odlewu elementu skrzyżowania lub rozjazdu nawierzchni torowej.
