Abstract

The subject of the invention is a method of microbiological purification of biogas formed in the process of methane fermentation of organic sludge in a fermentation tank, consisting of removing impurities, especially H2S, in anaerobic conditions using a system equipped with a biofilter filled with a biological bed sprinkled with mineral medium, which contains immobilized microorganisms capable of decomposing compounds sulfur. The method is characterized in that the biological bed is sprinkled with the nutrient solution in the form of a nitrate-containing solution of alkali metal salts of Group I and II of the Periodic Table, the concentration of nitrate ions in the medium is in the range from 20 to 2500 mg / l, whereas the concentration H2S installation is 100 - 3000 ppm.
