Zwiazek ten jest biologicznie czynny i moze miec zastosowanie w przemysle farmaceutycznym.The method of producing 4'-hydroxy-5,6-benzoflavone of formula 2 consists in the fact that the substrate, which is 5,6-benzoflavone of formula 1, is subjected to microbial transformation using the enzyme system of fungi of the genus Verticillium. This compound is biologically active and can be used in the pharmaceutical industry.
