Abstract

The subject of the invention is a system and a method for monitoring the respiratory frequency, which uses the change of impedance parameters of the sensor (1) during respiratory activity, which enables the leakage of the bias current (IB) of the voltage-controlled inputs of the amplifier (2). The circuit includes a voltage-controlled sensor (1) connected between the amplifier input (2) and the mass of the amplifier (2) with a variable impedance depending on the respiratory phase, and optionally signal conversion circuits (4), while the measuring circuit (2) is connected to the amplifier output (2). 3) containing analog or digital electrical signal recording devices. The sensor (1) is powered by the polarization current (IB) of the amplifier inputs (2). The method of monitoring the respiratory frequency is based on the fact that by means of the devices recording electrical signals, which are part of the measuring path (3), the direct or processed electrical signal is recorded, the amplitude value depending on the conductivity of the sensor (1), determined by the breath phases. During the exhalation, the conductivity G of the sensor (1) increases, which causes the bias current (IB) of the amplifier inputs (2) and affects the amplitude of the output signal. During inhalation, the conductivity G of the sensor (1) decreases, limiting the leakage of the polarization current (IB) and increasing the voltage drop at the input of the amplifier (2). The recorded signal can have a binary or variable amplitude form.
