Abstract

The subject of the invention is a method of producing longitudinal magnetic field gradients with high homogeneity within the examined object and a system for its implementation, applicable in magnetic resonance tomography. The method of producing longitudinal magnetic field gradients with high homogeneity within the examined object consists in the fact that two pairs of coils (1) and (1 ') as well as (2) and (2') are used, with coils (1) and (2) ) the current flows in the same direction, while in the coils (1 ') and (2') the current flows in the same direction, but in the opposite direction relative to the coils (1) and (2). The system for producing a longitudinal gradient of magnetic fields with high homogeneity within the examined object is characterized by the fact that it consists of two pairs of coils (1) and (1 ') as well as (2) and (2') with preferably uniformly aligned radii , permanently attached, detachably to the tomograph housing, for which the current in the coils (1) and (2) flows in the same direction, while in the coils (1 ') and (2') the current flows in the same direction, but in the opposite direction relative to coils (1) and (2).
