Abstract
The corkscrew (1) comprises a handle (2) with a swivel bearing section (7) on its free end and on which a first swivel bearing (17) is located for the to-be-screwed-in corkscrew spiral bit (3) for the cork (48). There is a second swivel bearing (25), outside of the first swivel bearing, with a long support arm (4) that has a first rest support (44) for resting on a bottle edge (50) and a second smaller support arm (5) with a second rest support (47) for resting on a bottle edge. There is a spring (29) arranged between the first and second support arms with the second smaller support arm pressed against the first long support arm. The spring between the first and second support arms may be a coil spring. The first and second support arms may be built with a U-shaped cross section, with the second smaller support arm being gripped in a U-shaped recess (27) of the first support arm.
