Nitka (5) jest przeciągnięta z kłębka od komory (12) przez otwór uformowany na całej długości do ramienia górnego (3) i zamocowana w zaczepach (3a i 4a). Przeznaczeniem uchwytu nitki dentystycznej jest zastosowanie go do czyszczenia przestrzeni międzyzębowych jamy ustnej.
