Abstract

Wynalazek obejmuje także urządzenie do stosowania tego sposobu.A method is disclosed for producing large sugar crystals having a size above 5 mm, especially above 8 mm, by evaporative crystallization in a crystallization tank, wherein a relative motion is produced between the growing sugar crystals and the supersaturated sugar solution which keeps the sugar crystals in suspension, wherein the relative motion is produced without the use of moving mechanical parts by an externally supplied stream of sugar solution, and evaporation from the discharge water system is controlled by applying heat to the sugar solution, the heat input being controlled such that the sugar solution is kept supersaturated. The invention also includes a device for applying this method.
