Description
PLWhen insulating pipes from the outside with an insulating mass, e.g. bituminous mass, applied to the pipe, reinforcing tapes are often placed inside this mass. However, it happens that such insulation of pipes, especially those placed in the ground, it is destroyed by the action of microorganisms or by root outgrowth of plants. According to the invention, it can be remedied in such a way that both to bituminous masses or the like, which are used to insulate pipes, and to jute, cardboard or felt tapes inserted into In order to strengthen the insulation from these masses, anti-rot agents are added, which are poisons for fungi, bacteria and plants. A good measure is phenol and its homologues. By adding anti-rot agents for bituminous masses, used to insulate pipes, safety is increased these isolaicyj. If, for any reason, the outer insulation of the pipe was damaged, and if the damage was not properly repaired, a small portion of the insulation at the site of the damage could be attacked by bacteria or fungi. However, further deterioration of the insulating lining will not take place, since the bituminous mass surrounding the reinforcement tapes contains anti-rot additives. These additives work in such a way that the parts surrounded by the bituminous mass, due to the penetration of the anti-rot additives, have a certain amount of anti-rot which protects. bituminous mass due to decay or overgrowth by plant roots. The insulation therefore has a longer service life and therefore provides the pipes with better protection. PL
