It is primarily used by mothers in pediatric wards to keep watch over their children. The bed is used as equipment in pediatric wards and is also used in other hospital wards. The essence of the industrial design is a new form of bed for parents with armrests. The mesh frame consists of steel sections forming a quadrangular seat frame and a quadrangular backrest frame. The seat and backrest surfaces are made of metal mesh. Furthermore, the central frame segment, which constitutes the bed or armchair seat, depending on the variant, is connected to two U-shaped armrests placed parallel to each other. The seat frame is supported by six legs placed in pairs parallel to each other, two of which have wheels. A four-part rectangular mattress sits on the mesh frame, acting as a seat or lounger, depending on the needs. It is made of a zippered cover filled with polyurethane foam. The mattress is made of coated leatherette. The parent bed can be configured in two ways: as an armchair or as a lounger. The bed can be mechanically folded from a sitting position to a lying position by pulling the base's extendable frame all the way to the stop and covering it with the mattress portion located on the top of the seat. The headrest is movable, allowing it to be placed horizontally relative to the ground. The industrial design is shown in the attached drawing, where Fig. 1 shows the parent bed in a folded position in a perspective view, and Fig. 2 shows the parent bed in an unfolded position in a perspective view.
