Opis wynalazkuDescription of the invention
Przedmiotem wynalazku jest przyrząd do przechyłowej kalibracji sensora grawimetru dynamicznego. The subject of the invention is a device for tilt calibration of a dynamic gravimeter sensor.
Obszar zastosowań przedmiotu wynalazku to techniki pomiarowe elementów pól fizycznych dotyczących zwłaszcza siły ciężkości oraz jej przyspieszenia, a także geofizyka i hydrografia. The scope of applications of the subject of the invention includes measurement techniques for elements of physical fields relating in particular to gravity and its acceleration, as well as geophysics and hydrography.
Główni producenci grawimetrów dynamicznych mają swoje siedziby i laboratoria w Stanach Zjednoczonych, Kanadzie i Rosji. Najpoważniejsze publikacje to: E.A. Boyarsky and L.V. It can only be performed using special equipment involving highly qualified personnel. The most commonly used equipment is tilting tables. The table is tilted several times in pairs above and below the horizon. As a result, the dependence of the gravimeter reading "V" on the tilt angle "Θ" is obtained. This is most often done in the laboratories of gravity manufacturers every five years. This operation requires the user to transport the gravimeter sensor to and from the manufacturer. The main manufacturers of dynamic gravity meters have their headquarters and laboratories in the United States, Canada, and Russia. In addition to the above method, four other basic calibration methods are used. The first is calibration using vertical or horizontal series of gravity acceleration values, called calibration lines, in which the effects of gravity acceleration are calculated theoretically or measured using "calibrated instruments." The second method is calibration using a platform that performs vertical movements, creating a non-inertial system. Another calibration method uses test masses. The last method is the calibration by comparison method, where its implementation consists in parallel recording with other calibrated gravimeters, or parallel recording with an absolute gravimeter, or recording at basic stations, where the values of the acceleration of gravity were measured using absolute gravimeters, where the tidal and environmental parameters are well known. The above techniques are the most common methods of recording gravimeters. The calibration method performed in laboratories using test masses is implemented in two ways - a ball or a ring torus rolls under the gravimeter, moves in a vertical plane. Using these methods, only small changes in gravity can be generated, and therefore high instrumental resolution is required. The problem of calibrating gravimetric instruments is widely described in the specialist literature. The most important publications are: E.A. Boyarsky and L.V. Afanasyeva. “Magellan-2 universal software package for the processing and analysis of aero and marine gravity measurements”, Gyroscopy and Navigation, 1(2):146-154, 2010; Bruno Meurers “Aspects of gravimeter calibration by time domain comparison of gravity records”, Bull Inf Mar'ees Terr, 135:10643-10650, 2002; Arne Vestergaard Olesen “Improved airborne scalar gravimetry for regional gravity field mapping and geoid determination”, Copenhagen: University of Copenhagen, 2002; B. Richter, H. Wilmes, and I. Nowak “The Frankfurt calibration system for relative gravimeters”, Metrologia, 32(3):217, 1995 - the subject of the publication was partly registered for protection in the National Patent Office; A.V. Sokolov, A.A. Krasnov, L.S. Elinson, V.A. Vasil’ev, and L.K. Zheleznyak “Calibration of the chekan-AM gravimeter by a tilting method”, Gyroscopy and Navigation, 6(4):288-293, 2015 - the subject of the publication in the selected scope was previously filed for protection with the National Patent Office; M. Van Ruymbeke, A. Somerhausen, and N. Grammatica “Calibration of gravimeters with the vrr 8601 calibration platform”, Metrologia, 32(3):209, 1995 - also this subject of the publication was previously filed for protection in the National Patent Office; P. Varga, A. Haj’osy, and G. Csap’o “Laboratory calibration of Lacoste-Romberg type gravimeters by using a heavy cylindrical ring” Geophysical Journal International, 120(3):745-757, 1995 - also, in part, the subject of the publication was previously filed for protection in the national Patent Office. The subject matter relevant to this application is the solution described in the document: CN109752769, “Parameter calibration method of measurement device for gravity meter stable platform”. All of the above-mentioned publications concern the subject matter of technical solutions similar to the subject matter of this application, especially in the aspect of the final result, which is the designation of the value and sign of the correction to be taken into account when developing the results of gravimetric measurements, whereby the correction can be taken into account both analytically individually, or by introducing it permanently, for example by placing it in the algorithm supporting the measurement and recording procedure. The technical purpose of the above solutions is similar to the purpose achieved by the solution according to the application, however, the technical means used in the device are significantly different from those constituting the state of the art. There are also known technical solutions described in patent document PL 110083 "Method and device for measuring the deflection of flat elastic elements" and in patent document PL/EP 2063292 "Calibration of a multi-beam sonar device", in which the technical means present in the reported solution were used, such as precise adjustment screws and optometric elements for measuring angular deviations, however, their use is aimed at achieving a completely different technical purpose.
Kalibracja z wykorzystaniem punktów o znanych wartościach przyspieszenia ziemskiego - linii kalibracyjnej, wymaga wcześniejszego zbudowania i utrzymania takiej linii. W połączeniu z koniecznością jej przemieszczania stanowi to wyzwanie inżynierskie i podnosi kosztowność projektu. Wymienione w stenie techniki sposoby i urządzenia do kalibracji sensorów grawimetrów dynamicznych, dotyczą rozwiązań zainstalowanych trwale w laboratoriach pomiarowych certyfikujących przedmiotowe sensory. Każdorazowa potrzeba wykonania takiej kalibracji skutkuje koniecznością przetransportowania sensora - samego albo osadzonego w specjalizowanym urządzeniu, do producenta sprzętu, nierzadko oddalonego o tysiące kilometrów. The main problem when performing calibration using the described measurement techniques is the need to use highly specialized equipment. Additionally, each of the presented techniques has its own characteristic drawbacks. Calibration using points with known values of the gravitational acceleration - a calibration line, requires the prior construction and maintenance of such a line. This is an expensive procedure, because such a line cannot be built in all geographical conditions, at least one well-calibrated gravimeter is needed to make it, and in order to obtain large changes in the "g" value, the line must usually be long or use favorable geographical conditions, for example large changes in height. Calibration using an oscillating platform solves the problem of dependence on geographical conditions, but entails other difficulties. The platform itself is a highly specialized device that must be made with high precision. The movement should have a relatively small amplitude, the frequency with which the vibrations are performed must be within the range of the gravimeter's measurement band, i.e. from microhertz to single hertz. The movement must be performed as smoothly as possible, excluding all jerks, and the tilts during lifting must also be so small that they can be considered negligible. The mechanical requirements for the construction of such a device are therefore very strict, and the resulting product is highly specialized. A typical platform also does not allow the calibration of the gravimeter's tiltmeters, and is therefore not suitable for dynamic gravimeters, for which they are equally important. Calibrations using a test mass allow for achieving significant precision, because the excitation value is well-defined. However, it requires a large hardware base. Due to the low value of the gravitational constant, the size of the test mass must be significant in order to obtain even small changes in the gravitational acceleration. Combined with the need to move it, this is an engineering challenge and increases the project's cost. Calibrations by comparison have two common disadvantages. First, they require an excitation that will affect both measuring instruments to the same extent. A natural choice for such an excitation may be the tides of the Earth's crust. They have an amplitude of about 150 microGal and are slowly changing with the position on the Earth's surface. They will therefore affect closely placed instruments equally. However, their frequency is low, on the order of 2 cycles per day, so in order to collect the appropriate amount of data, measurements must be carried out over a long period. Another problem is the need to use a reference device throughout the measurement period. The device must be more stable than the sensor being tested. For these reasons, this type of measurement is an expensive and time-consuming procedure. The methods and devices for calibrating dynamic gravity sensors listed in the technical document concern solutions permanently installed in measurement laboratories certifying the sensors in question. Each time such calibration is needed, the sensor must be transported - either alone or embedded in a specialized device - to the equipment manufacturer, often thousands of kilometers away. The equipment must be very well secured, due to the fact that such devices are very expensive to purchase, and transport to the laboratory and back is also burdened with high costs. Moreover, the gravimeter cannot be used by the owner for the time necessary to perform calibration - often several weeks or even months.
Użycie śrub z gwintem o skoku mniejszym niż jeden milimetr skutkuje poprawą dokładności procesu kalibracji oraz znacząco ułatwia i przyspiesza proces kalibracji. The device for tilt calibration of the dynamic gravity sensor in its design essentially comprises a frame composed of a longitudinal strip which is in fact an optical rail, to which a transverse - supporting strip is permanently and symmetrically installed at one of its ends. At the opposite end of the longitudinal strip and at both ends of the transverse strip, guides are mounted horizontally, in which adjustable leveling screws are mounted vertically. On the longitudinal strip, in the middle sector, a rail carrier is mounted, to which a mounting base is attached, intended for mounting the gravimeter sensor mounting element. In front of this element and at the end of the longitudinal strip, directly in front of the leveling screw guide, reflector elements for the tachymeter are installed. The frame is mounted on a suitably prepared table with a highly stable structure that prevents any movement in any direction. The longitudinal strip is made of a multi-profile shape, and the rail carrier is placed on it, precisely without longitudinal and transverse play. The mounting base, together with the gravimeter mounting element, are also made very precisely, mapped to the calibrated gravimeter copy, to eliminate any movement of the gravimeter during calibration, except for those movements that are intended in the calibration process. Leveling screws are in fact screws with a fine-pitch thread cut on them, the pitch of which should not be greater than one millimeter. The use of screws with a thread pitch of less than one millimeter results in improved accuracy of the calibration process and significantly facilitates and speeds up the calibration process.
The subject of the invention is shown in the drawing, in which Fig. 1 - shows a side view of the device, Fig. 2 - an axiometric diagram of the device, and Fig. 3 - an exploded view of the device.
Przedmiot wynalazku w przedmiocie wykonania posiada stelaż zestawiony z listwy wzdłużnej 1 pełniącej jednocześnie funkcję szyny optycznej oraz przytwierdzonej trwale i symetrycznie do jednego z jej końców, listwy poprzecznej 2 pełniącej funkcję szyny podtrzymującej. The subject of the invention in the subject of the implementation has a frame composed of a longitudinal strip 1 simultaneously acting as an optical rail and a transverse strip 2 permanently and symmetrically attached to one of its ends, acting as a supporting rail. At its ends and at the opposite end of the longitudinal strip 1, guides 3 leading levelling screws 4 are installed. The longitudinal strip 1 is made of a semi-open four-shaped metal profile, while the transverse strip 2 is a solid metal bar. The levelling screws 4 are screws with a cut external thread with a pitch of 0.7 millimetres. The type of thread itself, the way it is cut on the screws and in the guide sleeve of the guide 3, is such that it creates a practically backlash-free regulating assembly. On the strip 1, in the middle of its length, a rail carrier 5 is mounted, on which a base 6 for mounting the gravimeter is mounted, to which the mounting element 8 of the gravimeter is installed, whereby the mutual connections of these elements are fitted so that there is no play between them. Also on the strip 1 at the end, in which the adjustment unit 3 and 4 are mounted, a reflector element 7 is mounted from above. The same element is also mounted in front of the mounting element 8 of the gravimeter. The work frame is mounted on a table 9, the construction and other features of which ensure a stable foundation to prevent any movement. Outside the table 9, on the extension of the strip 1, at a certain distance along its axis, a tachymeter 10 is installed, cooperating with reflector elements 7. The distance of the tachymeter 10 from the table 9 is determined by the geometry of the room and the parameters of the tachymeter 10. The greater this distance, the larger the measurement base and therefore the more accurate the measurement of the tilt angle value.
The device that is the subject of the invention is particularly suitable for the tilt method of calibrating dynamic gravity meters. In the case of this measurement method, as many factors influencing the measurement result as possible are minimized. Due to the relatively short measurement time, especially in comparison with comparative methods, factors such as tidal modulation and instrumental drift have a small impact on the measurement error. The measurement is performed using the step method, the bench stops at a given deflection, so the component of the inertial force induced by the vertical oscillator is also negligible. The change in the vertical position of the bench during the measurement cycle is also small, so this factor can be omitted or added as a higher-order correction. The most important factor influencing the change in the reading of the device is the tilt effect, the control of which is the essence of the presented solution. An important advantage of the method implemented by the device is that the device is portable and the calibration can be performed on site. The tilt method used to calibrate the measuring element implemented by the subject of the invention can be used for all types of relative gravity meters. The main advantage of the new calibration technology is the fact that there is no need to use precise tilt-rotary tables. The gravity sensor can be tilted thanks to the optical bench connected to micrometric screws, i.e. based on components with a wide range of measuring applications. The design allows determining tilt angles, so it is not based only on the readings of the tested device's sensors and allows checking the external accuracy.
