The rotary knife of a mining combine is characterized by the fact that at least two grooves (3) are made on the knife shank (1) and/or in the socket (4) of the knife holder (2) at an acute angle α = 5° ÷ 30°, preferably 10 ° in relation to the longitudinal axis (6) of the knife (1).
Description
Przedmiotem wynalazku jest nóż obrotowy kombajnu górniczego. The subject of the invention is a rotary knife of a mining shearer.
Tangential rotary knives with a conical blade are commonly used as cutting tools for mining rock with mining combines. The design of the knife is to enable the knife to rotate around its axis in order to achieve even blade wear. During the cutting of the solid, the tangential component of the cutting resistance appears when entering or exiting the cutting zone, which is to ensure the rotation of the knife around the axis.
In real rock cutting conditions, mineral dust as well as wear and corrosion products often cause sticky knives in the handles and the knives cannot rotate. This is facilitated by the use of anti-dust spraying of the mining zone with water, high temperature and the presence of rocks, whose dusts often have binding properties, as in the case of clay rocks. Knives that lose the ability to rotate are very quickly destroyed, and the blades made of hard sintered carbides wear unevenly and are broken out of the knives, as a result of which they get into the excavated material and then go to e.g. mills in power plants, causing their destruction. In order to facilitate the rotation of combine knives, there are attempts to lubricate the connection of knives with knife holders.
A solution known from the Polish patent description PL209241 consists in sealing the joint of the knife shaft with the knife holder and filling the clearance with plastic grease. The disadvantage of the above-mentioned solution is the high sensitivity to rock dust and moisture contamination, moreover, the seals increase the resistance to rotation of the knives. After loss of tightness, mineral dust and water enter the interior, forming an abrasive paste with the grease. With the increase in the amount of dust in the lubricant and due to the coexistence of abrasive wear products and corrosion, the knife becomes immobilized quickly due to the constantly increasing resistance to the knife rotation and the solution does not fulfill its role. Then there is a rapid degradation of the knives with the negative effects described above.
There is also a known solution presented in the Polish patent description PL178171 concerning the rotary node of the tangential knife of the cutting head, in which, instead of the commonly used sliding bearing of the knives in the knife holders, a rolling bearing in the form of a needle roller and ball bearing was used. In order to protect the bearing arrangement against contamination, a seal is used. The above solution provides the possibility of turning the knife in the knife holder, replacing the sliding friction with rolling friction. The inconvenience of the solution, however, is the complicated structure of the knife holder, consisting of many precise elements such as: bearings, seals, springs. Considering the large number of knives on the working parts of the upper cutting machines, which can even reach 90, it significantly increases the cost of manufacturing and operation of such elements. At the same time, it does not guarantee the long life of the bearing arrangement, especially in the presence of fine fractions of dust with strong abrasive properties, which will penetrate the bearing despite the use of a seal, causing seizure of rolling bearings.
The Polish patent description PL209806 describes a solution for a rotary knife mount for a mining machine head, especially in a mining shearer, in which there is a groove in the cylindrical seat of the knife holder that distributes the liquid medium under pressure, especially in the form of an oil-water emulsion, acting as a lubricant for cooperating sliding surfaces bearing node: knife handle - slot in the knife holder. The solution is technically complicated due to the provision of channels in the knife holder for supplying the medium under pressure and its proper distribution inside the socket in the knife holder. Moreover, the working part of the mining machine must be equipped with a properly prepared system for supplying the knife holders with the lubricating medium, which additionally complicates its design. The use of an oil-water emulsion as a lubricating medium, which is led outside the knife holders together with impurities penetrating into the bearing node, is also a source of environmental pollution with oil substances. The solution also contributes to the increased water consumption by the mining machine, on the basis of which the lubrication of the knives is realized. This water, flowing beyond the mining machine, may be a significant source of additional failure of the mining excavation in which the machine is operated.
Zadaniem tych sfazowań jest zmniejszenie powierzchni kontaktu trzonka nożaIn addition, knives are known, the gripping part of the cylindrical shank cooperating with the socket in the knife holder, with flat surfaces resulting from cutting the knife shank with planes parallel to its axis and intersecting the shank along the chords of its cross-section. The purpose of these chamfers is to reduce the contact area of the knife shaft
With a seat in the knife holder, thereby reducing the resistance to rotation of the knife in the knife holder. The disadvantage of this is a reduction in the strength of the knife shaft and an increase in contact pressures in the knife holder socket.
Celem wynalazku jest zapewnienie możliwie prostymi środkami technicznymi obrotu noży w gniazdach uchwytów nożowych organów roboczych górniczych maszyn urabiających, takich jak kombajny górnicze. The object of the invention is to ensure that the knives rotate in the knife holder seats of the working parts of mining machines, such as mining harvesters, by the simplest possible technical means.
The rotary knife according to the invention is characterized in that at least two grooves are provided in the knife handle and / or in the knife holder socket at an acute angle α = 5 ° * 30 °, preferably 10 ° with respect to the longitudinal axis of the knife. These grooves have an asymmetric cross-section which grows in the opposite direction to the knife blade.
The subject of the invention in an exemplary embodiment is shown in the drawing, in which Fig. 1 shows a cross-section through a knife holder with a visible knife with grooves, while Fig. 2 shows an exemplary cross-section of a knife handle with grooves.
P r z y k ł a dExample
The rotary knife according to the invention consists of a cylindrical shaft ending with a blade. At least two longitudinal grooves (3) are made on the handle of the knife (1) and / or in the socket (4) of the knife holder (2) at an acute angle from 5 to 30 °, preferably 10 °, in relation to the longitudinal axis ( 6) the knife (1). Due to the grooves (3), the knife (1) is forced to automatically rotate around its longitudinal axis (6) while the knife (1) is not in contact with the processed body. The rotation of the knife (1) takes place with each longitudinal movement of the knife (1) within the play in the joint of the knife shaft (1) with the knife holder (2). The axial displacements of the knives (1) occur as a result of vibrations of the working part of the mining machine and as a result of the centrifugal force and the force of gravity during the rotation of this working element. The rotation of the knife (1) is favored by the asymmetric cross-section of the grooves (3), which makes the resistance to the knife (1) rotation in one direction different from the resistance in the return movement. Each time the knife (1) moves back and forth in relation to the knife holder, there is a difference in the knife rotation angle. As a result, the knife (1) enters the next cutting cycle with a new positioning of its blade (5) relative to the surface of the rock being cut. As a result, the wear of the blades (5) of the knives (1) is even along its entire circumference and the effect of spontaneous "self-sharpening" of the knife blades occurs. It is advantageous if the grooves (3) provided on the knife handle (1) and / or in the seat (4) of the knife holder (2) have an increasing cross section in the direction opposite to the blade (5) of the knife (1). This favors the effective removal of wear products, corrosion and dust contamination from the knife seating area in the knife holders. They are removed successively from the joint of the knife (1) with the knife holder (2) to the outside. This prevents the unfavorable phenomena of sticking up of the rotary knives in the knife holders.
The advantage of the solution according to the invention is the reduction of the intensity of wear of the knife shaft and the seat in the knife holder, because the knife rotation takes place when the knife does not transfer the load from the cutting resistance. An additional advantage of the solution is the possibility of optimizing the location of the knives on the working body of the mining machine (mining shearer) due to the technical and energy efficiency of the mining process, without the need to take into account the creation of conditions for the occurrence of the tangential component during cutting, which is necessary to achieve rotation of the knives, as it is in known solutions.
