Description
Opis wynalazkuDescription of the invention
The subject of the invention are voltage boost converters with split chokes, using the leakage inductance as the resonance inductance.
Przekształtniki quasi-rezonansowe podwyższające napięcie są znane już od lat 80-tych (patenty: US4720667 A, US4720668 A), podobnie jak wykorzystanie indukcyjności rozproszenia transformatora zamiast indukcyjności rezonansowej (patent: US 4785387 A).Step-up quasi-resonant converters have been known since the 1980s (patents: US4720667 A, US4720668 A), as is the use of the leakage inductance of a transformer instead of the resonant inductance (patent: US 4785387 A).
W przekształtnikach tych wykorzystanie obwodu rezonansowego umożliwia uzyskanie miękkiego przełączania elementów półprzewodnikowych. In these converters, the use of a resonant circuit enables soft switching of semiconductor elements.
Najbardziej zbliżoną rodziną przekształtników do przedkładanych w niniejszym wniosku są przekształtniki quasi-rezonansowe z dławikiem dzielonym zaprezentowane w opisie patentowym nr P.420659. The family of converters most similar to the ones presented in this application are quasi-resonant converters with a split reactor presented in the patent description No. P.420659. One of such converters is a quasi-resonant step-up converter with a split-choke switched at zero current. It consists of a power transistor, a resonant capacitor, a resonant choke, a power diode, an output capacitor and a split choke. The series connection of the primary side of the choke and the voltage source is placed parallel to the series connection of the resonant choke and the transistor. A resonant capacitor is placed parallel to the series connection of the resonant choke with the transistor. Alongside the resonant capacitor there is a series connection of the secondary side of the choke, diode and the load consisting of a parallel connection of the resistor and the output capacitor. In quasi-resonant converters, an additional resonant circuit made it possible to switch the transistor at zero current or at zero voltage. In zero-current switched circuits, the resonant choke is placed in series with the transistor, and the capacitor provides resonant current flow through the resonant choke and the transistor, allowing the transistor to switch at zero current. In quasi-resonant circuits switched at zero voltage, the resonant choke is placed in series to the parallel connection of the transistor and the resonant capacitor.
Dotychczas nie były znane przekształtniki quasi-rezonansowe podwyższające napięcie z dławikiem dzielonym, wykorzystujące indukcyjność rozproszenia dławika dzielonego zamiast indukcyjności rezonansowej (w powyżej opisanym przekształtniku rezonans uzyskano stosując dodatkowy dławik).Until now, there were no known quasi-resonant voltage boosters with a split reactor, using the leakage inductance of a split reactor instead of the resonance inductance (in the converter described above, the resonance was obtained by using an additional reactor).
Istotą wynalazku jest quasi-rezonansowy przekształtnik podwyższający napięcie z dławikiem dzielonym zawierający kondensator rezonansowy Cr, tranzystor mocy Ti, diodę mocy D oraz dławik dzielony Ł1-Ł2. Quasi-rezonansowy przekształtnik podwyższający napięcie z dławikiem dzielonym Ł1-Ł2 zawierający tranzystor mocy Ti diodę mocy D, kondensator wyjściowy C oraz kondensator rezonansowy Cr dołączony równolegle do tranzystora wraz z indukcyjność rozproszenia Lim-Lu<2 dławika dzielonego tworzą układ rezonansowy umożliwiający miękkie przełączanie tranzystora . Kondensator rezonansowy Cr jest umiejscowiony równolegle do szeregowego połączenia diody D i równoległego połączenia kondensatora C i obciążenia Robc. Szeregowo z kondensatorem rezonansowym Cr jest dołączony dodatkowy tranzystor mocy T2.The essence of the invention is a quasi-resonant step-up converter with a split choke, containing a Cr resonant capacitor, a power transistor Ti, a power diode D and a split choke Ł1-Ł2. Quasi-resonant voltage boosting converter with a split choke Ł1-Ł2 containing a power transistor Ti, a power diode D, an output capacitor C and a resonant capacitor Cr connected in parallel to the transistor together with the scattering inductance Lim-Lu <2 of the split choke create a resonant circuit enabling soft switching of the transistor. The resonant capacitor Cr is placed parallel to the series connection of the diode D and the parallel connection of the capacitor C and the load Robc. An additional power transistor T2 is connected in series with the resonant Cr capacitor.
Zaletą przedkładanych układów jest uzyskanie rezonansu i w konsekwencji miękkiego przełączania tranzystorów bez wykorzystania dodatkowego dławika rezonansowego. The advantage of the presented circuits is obtaining resonance and, consequently, soft switching of transistors without the use of an additional resonant choke.

In the circuit shown in Fig. 1a, the transistor Ti is switched with a fixed switch-off time, the voltage amplification factor of the converter is regulated by its switch-on time. In the circuit shown in Fig. 2a, the transistor Ti is switched with a fixed turn-on time and the voltage gain factor is regulated by its turn-off time.
Fig. 3a i fig. 4a przedstawiają quasi-rezonansowe przekształtniki podwyższające napięcie z tranzystorami przełączanymi ze stałą częstotliwością. Wykorzystanie dodatkowego tranzystora T2 w odniesieniu do układów przedstawionych na fig. 1a i fig. 2a umiejscowionego szeregowo z kondensatorem Cr umożliwia skrócenie czasu trwania rezonansu w stosunku do okresu pracy przekształtnika. Figures 3a and 4a show quasi-resonant boost converters with fixed frequency switched transistors. The use of an additional transistor T2 in relation to the circuits shown in Fig. 1a and Fig. 2a placed in series with the Cr capacitor allows the resonance duration to be shortened in relation to the converter operation period. This reduces the power losses in the transistor and resonant elements, as well as makes the ripple of the input and output current independent of the voltage amplification factor.

W celu uproszczenia równań opisujących działanie przekształtników indukcyjności rozproszenia Uki-Lue dławika dzielonego można przedstawić w postaci jednej indukcyjności zastępczej przeniesionej na stronę pierwotną lub wtórną dławika zgodnie z równaniami (1.1) i (1.4).In the analysis of the converters operation presented in Figs. 1a-4a, constant voltage drops on the output capacitors C and the energy stored in the L1-L2 split chokes during the converter operation were assumed. In order to simplify the equations describing the operation of the leakage inductance Uki-Lue converters of a split choke, it can be represented as one equivalent inductance transferred to the primary or secondary side of the choke according to equations (1.1) and (1.4).

(1.10) gdzie: Uo·- napięcie na kondensatorze Cr na końcu przedziału t-ι, Lli - prąd dławika Li w przedziale ti, E - napięcie wejściowe, N - przekładnia dławika dzielonego, Uo - napięcie wyjściowe, ωο pulsacja obwodu rezonansowego, /r - częstotliwość rezonansowa, Z - impedancja falowa obwodu rezonansowego, ku - współczynnik wzmocnienia napięcia, RObc - rezystancja obciążenia.(1.10) where: Uo - voltage on the capacitor C r at the end of the interval t-ι, Lli - choke current Li in the interval ti, E - input voltage, N - split choke ratio, Uo - output voltage, ωο resonant circuit pulsation, / r - resonant frequency, Z - wave impedance of the resonant circuit, k u - voltage amplification factor, R O bc - load resistance.
Dla przekształtnika o częstotliwości rezonansowej równej /r = 200 kHz, mocy wyjściowej 200 W, napięcia wejściowego E = 40 V, napięcia wyjściowego Uo = 400 V i przekładni dławika dzielonego N = 4 impedancja falowa obwodu powinna wynosić ok. 33 Ω. Znając impedancję falową oraz częstotliwość rezonansową można obliczyć wymaganą indukcyjność rozproszenia oraz pojemność rezonansową. W taki sposób obliczona indukcyjność rezonansowa wynosi Ukip) = 25 uH, natomiast pojemność rezonansowa Cr = 24 nF.Following the above characteristics, the wave impedance of the resonant circuit can be selected depending on the output power (load resistance with a known output voltage). For a converter with a resonance frequency equal to / r = 200 kHz, output power 200 W, input voltage E = 40 V, output voltage Uo = 400 V and ratio of the divided choke N = 4, the wave impedance of the circuit should be approx. 33 Ω. Knowing the wave impedance and the resonant frequency, the required leakage inductance and resonant capacitance can be calculated. The resonance inductance calculated in this way is Ukip) = 25 uH, while the resonant capacitance C r = 24 nF.

Fig. 2c przedstawiaThe converter is shown in Fig. 2a. Fig. 2b shows selected voltage and current waveforms of this converter. The transistor in the converter is switched with a constant on-time depending on the resonant frequency of the capacitor C r and the leakage inductance Ukji-LLk2 of the split choke. The gain factor is governed by the transistor off time. Switching off the transistor T at zero current requires the fulfillment of the condition described by the formula (2.6). The control characteristic of the converter is described by the formula (2.5). Fig. 2c shows

gdzie: Uo - napięcie wyjściowe, N - przekładania dławika dzielonego, E - napięcie wejściowe, Lli - prąd dławika Li na końcu przedziału ti, Uk(w) - indukcyjność rozproszenia dławika dzielonego przeniesiona na stronę wtórną, ωο - pulsacja obwodu rezonansowego, Cr- pojemność kondensatora Cr, /r - częstotliwość rezonansowa, Z - impedancja falowa obwodu rezonansowego, k„ - współczynnik wzmocnienia napięcia.where: Uo - output voltage, N - split choke ratio, E - input voltage, Lli - choke current Li at the end of the interval ti, Uk (w) - split choke leakage inductance transferred to the secondary side, ωο - resonant circuit pulsation, C r - capacitance of the capacitor C r , / r - resonant frequency, Z - wave impedance of the resonant circuit, k "- voltage amplification factor.
Dla przekształtnika o częstotliwości rezonansowej równej /r = 1 MHz, mocy wyjściowej 200 W, napięcia wejściowego E = 40 V, napięcia wyjściowego Uo = 400 V i przekładni dławika dzielonego Λ/ = 4 impedancja falowa obwodu powinna wynosić ok. 100 Ω. Znając impedancję falową oraz częstotliwość rezonansową można obliczyć wymaganą indukcyjność rozproszenia oraz pojemność rezonansową. Wyznaczona indukcyjność rezonansowa wynosi = 16 uH, natomiast pojemność rezonansowa Cr = 1,6 nF.Following the inequality (2.6), it is possible to calculate the maximum wave impedance of the resonant circuit depending on the output power (i.e. the load resistance with a known output voltage). For a converter with a resonance frequency equal to / r = 1 MHz, output power 200 W, input voltage E = 40 V, output voltage Uo = 400 V and split choke ratio Λ / = 4, the wave impedance of the circuit should be about 100 Ω. Knowing the wave impedance and the resonant frequency, the required leakage inductance and resonant capacitance can be calculated. The determined resonance inductance is = 16 uH, while the resonant capacity C r = 1.6 nF.

Współczynnik wzmocnienia jest regulowany wypełnieniem sygnału sterującego tranzystorem Ti. WyłączanieThe converter is shown in Fig. 3a, while Fig. 3b shows selected voltage and current waveforms of this converter. Dla przekształtnika o częstotliwości rezonansowej równej / = 1 MHz, mocy wyjściowej 200 W, napięcia wejściowego E = 40 V, napięcia wyjściowego Uo = 400 V i przekładni dławika dzielonego N = 4 impedancja falowa obwodu powinna wynosić ok. 20 Ω. Znając impedancję falową oraz częstotliwość rezonansową można wyznaczyć wymaganą indukcyjność rozproszenia dławika dzielonego oraz pojemność rezonansową. Indukcyjność rozproszenia wynosi Llk(P) = uH, natomiast pojemność rezonansowa Cr = 8 nF.Following the equation (3.3), it is possible to determine the maximum wave impedance of the resonant circuit depending on the output power (from the load resistance with a known output voltage). For a converter with a resonance frequency equal to / = 1 MHz, output power 200 W, input voltage E = 40 V, output voltage Uo = 400 V and split choke ratio N = 4, the wave impedance of the circuit should be approx. 20 Ω. Knowing the wave impedance and the resonant frequency, it is possible to determine the required leakage inductance of the split choke and the resonant capacitance. The scattering inductance is Llk ( P ) = uH, and the resonant capacitance C r = 8 nF.
Example 4. Quasi-resonant step-up converter with a split inductor and switched transistors at zero current with constant frequency.
Przekształtnik przedstawiono na fig. 4a. The converter is shown in Fig. 4a. Fig. 4b shows selected waveforms of currents of this converter. An additional transistor, compared to the system shown in Fig. 2a, placed in series with the capacitor C r enables the reduction and independence of the resonant frequency in relation to the transistor switching frequency. This has a positive effect on the power losses in the converter and enables the dimensions of the resonance elements to be reduced. The amplification factor is regulated by the duty cycle of the Ti transistor. Turning off the transistor Ti at zero current requires the fulfillment of the condition described by the formula (43). The control characteristic of the converter is described by the formula (4.1), Fig. 4c shows the control characteristic of the analyzed converter for three different ratios of the split choke.

In the analyzed case, the resonant circuit is selected in the same way as in example 2, taking into account the independence of the resonant frequency from the switching frequency of the transistors.
