Description

Opis wynalazkuDescription of the invention

Przedmiotem wynalazku jest sposób otrzymywania peletowanego paliwa węglowego. The subject of the invention is a method of obtaining pelleted coal fuel.

The issue of environmental pollution is gaining more and more importance. For the needs of numerous dispersed furnaces, fuels are sought with reduced emissions of substances harmful to the environment. Part of the work on this problem is focused on the preparation of carbon materials, including briquetting or pelleting a suitable mixture with the addition of sulfur compounds acceptors.

Do najczęściej używanych dodatków utwardzających zaliczyć można roztwory kwasu poliakrylowego, akrylany wapnia i magnezu. There are many known methods of pelleting and briquetting carbon materials with the addition of a binder and enriching additives. So far, the most commonly used binders have been pitch and asphalt binders. There are also known binders such as molasses, starch, phenol-formaldehyde resins with various hardening additives. The most commonly used hardening additives are polyacrylic acid solutions, calcium and magnesium acrylates. Both binders and any enriching additives are added to the carbon material at various stages and conditions of the mixture preparation process before briquetting. The produced fuel briquettes or pellets, the mixture preparation process of which is carried out using known methods, are characterized by relatively high emission of harmful substances, especially tar substances and sulfur and nitrogen oxides polluting the natural environment. Most of the known briquettes also show low water resistance.

There is known from the description of the patent application No. 303476 a method for producing briquettes from pulverized coal, which consists in mixing and combining pulverized coal with wood waste with the addition of cement. The briquettes are formed into a hemispherical shape and dried.

Known methods of briquetting fine coal require the use of a binder. There is a known method of obtaining briquettes from fuel dust by using as a binder tar, organic binders such as sintering coals, cellulose derivatives, dextrins, starches, molasses, waxes and paraffins, sulphite lyes, synthetic resins, bitumen from crude oil and soft tissues of plants treated previously alkali or fermented or inorganic binders such as bentonite, clays, hydrated lime, water glass, silica gel, oily clay binders.

There is known from the patent description PL178672 a method of producing briquettes from a carbon mix, consisting in mixing fine-grained carbon material with a grain size of less than 6 mm with a binder in the amount of 4-10% consisting of a mixture of starch and molasses in a 3: 1 ratio with the addition of phosphoric acid and sulphate aluminum-potassium. The disadvantage of starch, molasses, sulphite lyes, beech hydrolysates is that the briquettes obtained from them are characterized by low mechanical strength and lack of water resistance. Synthetic resins such as phenol-formaldehyde or urea-formaldehyde as binders cause that briquettes emit significant amounts of toxic substances during combustion.

In the Polish patent PL 174678 the subject of the invention is a method of preparing a carbon mix for briquetting carbon materials with a binder. A cereal starch component is added to the carbonaceous material to improve the strength of the raw briquettes. The component is added in an amount of 1-5%, preferably 3-5%, and this mixture is hydrolyzed at 100 ° C for at least 6 minutes. The mixture is then mixed with a urea-formaldehyde resin binder in an amount of 5-20%, preferably 8-12%, at a temperature of 10-80 ° C, preferably 20-50 ° C, and briquetted by a known method. A variant of the method of preparing the carbon mix for briquetting is characterized by the fact that the binder of the urea-formaldehyde resin type before mixing with the carbon material with a spray solution or an aqueous suspension of a hardener in an amount of 0.05-5%, preferably 0.3-1%, based on anhydrous substance, a component improving the strength of raw briquettes is added in the form of carboxymethylcellulose in the amount of 0.1-5%, preferably 0.2-0.8%, or post-hydrolytic lignocellulose of hardwood trees in the amount of 3-5% in relation to the carbon mixture. The coal blend is then mixed with a urea-formaldehyde resin binder in an amount of 5-20%, preferably 8-12% at a temperature of 10-80 ° C, preferably 20-50 ° C. Phosphoric acid or calcium hydrogen phosphate or a mixture thereof or mixtures thereof with neutral calcium phosphate or phosphates are used as the hardening additive. Sprinkling the carbon material with the hardening additive accelerates the resin polymerization process. The purpose of introducing a component to improve the strength of raw briquettes to the carbon material or binder is to prevent the briquettes from disintegrating immediately after leaving the press before their final thermal treatment.

Patent description PL188766 describes a method of preparing a mixture for the production of briquetted fuel, the flotoconcentrate is mixed with modified starch and phosphoric acid, and then the mixture obtained in this way is mixed with a mixture of coke dust and resin, and then briquetted.

Tak otrzymaną mieszaninę poddano peletowaniu, po czym otrzymane pelety suszono najpierw w temperaturze od 80 do 150°C, a następnie w temperaturze od 200 do 300°C.From the patent description US5009671 there is known a method of producing carbon briquettes consisting in mixing crushed coal with a starch-containing binder, and with molasses and water. The mixture obtained in this way was subjected to pelleting, after which the obtained pellets were first dried at a temperature of 80 to 150 ° C and then at a temperature of 200 to 300 ° C.

The method of obtaining pelleted coal fuel from the flotation concentrate according to the invention is characterized in that the flotoconcentrate with a moisture content of 20 to 34% is mixed with a material containing a plant polysaccharide containing mainly amylopectin in a mass ratio of 25: 1 to 50: 1, and then the mixture thus obtained it is mixed with an aqueous solution of sucrose, then the obtained material is pelleted and dried.

Korzystnie zastosowanym polisacharydem jest skrobia.Preferably the polysaccharide used is starch.

Korzystnie źródłem zastosowanego polisacharydu jest mąka ziemniaczana.Preferably the source of the polysaccharide used is potato flour.

Korzystnie stosunek masowy roztworu wodnego sacharozy do flotokoncentratu wynosi od 0,04 do 0,1.Preferably, the weight ratio of the aqueous sucrose solution to the flotoconcentrate is from 0.04 to 0.1.

Korzystnie stężenie roztworu sacharozy wynosi od 30 do 60%.Preferably the concentration of the sucrose solution is from 30 to 60%.

Korzystnie suszenie prowadzi się w temperaturze od 80 do 150°C.Preferably, drying is carried out at a temperature of from 80 to 150 ° C.

Korzystnie czas suszenia wynosi od 10 do 70 minut.Preferably, the drying time is from 10 to 70 minutes.

Dzięki temu flot posiada wysoką kaloryczność i niską zawartość popiołu. Ziarna węgla mają rozmiary poniżej 1 mm.Flotation concentrate is a fuel that is recovered from mud and water, which are a by-product of coal production. Mud consists of chemically pure coal and rock. In the flotation process, fine coal grains are recovered from it and the stone grains are separated. As a result, the fleet has a high calorific value and low ash content. The carbon grains are less than 1 mm in size.

However, the flotation concentrate is characterized by a high moisture content (approx. 30%), which adversely affects the calorific value and prevents pelletization or briquetting of this material. Too moist material does not allow the formation of pellets with regular geometric shapes (cylinders). Pre-drying the flotation concentrate significantly increases the cost of this fuel.

Zastosowanie skrobi w celu związania nadmiaru wilgoci i umożliwienia przeprowadzenia procesu peletyzacji znacznie uwodnionego materiału węglowego. W ten sposób następuje związanie nadmiaru wilgoci zawartej we flotokoncentracie, co umożliwia przeprowadzenie procesu peletyzacji i otrzymanie peletów o dobrze wykształconej formie geometrycznej (walce).Use of starch to bind excess moisture and allow the highly hydrated carbonaceous material to be pelleted. Starch grains adsorb water, which leads to their swelling and the formation of a colloidal system. In this way, the excess moisture contained in the flotoconcentrate is bound, which makes it possible to carry out the pelletization process and obtain pellets with a well-formed geometric form (cylinder).

On the other hand, the use of a sucrose solution as a binder affects the mechanism of thickening the coal grains and the formation of a compact structure of the final product. The sucrose solution covers the coal grains, which reduces the frictional resistance between grains in the thickening process and leads to the filling of pores and voids between grains. As a result of drying the material obtained in this way, the binder crystallization process takes place and the grains of the granulated material are firmly bound. The obtained coal pellets, compared to pellet or briquetted fuels known from the state of the art, are characterized by higher durability and, at the same time, they are environmentally friendly.
