Opis wynalazkuDescription of the invention
The subject of the invention is a method of obtaining allyl glycidol ether by epoxidation of 30% diallium ether. hydrogen peroxide on the TS-1 catalyst and in the presence of KH2PO4 as an additive increasing the efficiency of the conversion of hydrogen peroxide to organic compounds.
Allyl glycidol ether is a very valuable compound for the organic industry. It is used, inter alia, to obtain epoxy resins, used in the production of protective coatings, paints, components of adhesives and binders. By reacting allyl glycidol ether with carbon dioxide and in the presence of an ionic liquid as a catalyst, carbonates can be obtained which are used as aprotic polar solvents or electrolytes for batteries. Other uses of allyl glycidol ether are the synthesis of linear, branched and cyclic oligoglycerols which have applications as polymer additives (antistatic agents, plasticizers), emulsifiers, stabilizers, dispersants, paint and plant protection ingredients, antifoams in the paper or municipal industry and as lubricants, drilling fluids, hydraulic fluids and cutting oils. Allyl glycidol ether is also used to prepare polynitrates which are used as explosives. In addition, with the use of allyl-glycidol ether, it is possible to obtain cryptands that can be used as receptors for the selective binding of cations or anions, as well as carriers of these substances through cell membranes. These compounds, thanks to their unique structure, are used as models imitating natural metalloproteins and metalloenzymes, electron carriers in redox reactions, oxygen carriers, ionophores, and also anticancer agents. In addition, cryptands are often used as catalysts in phase transfer reactions, demonstrating high stability and reactivity in these reactions.
Do tej pory eter allilowo-glicydolowy otrzymywano w wyniku epoksydacji eteru diallilowego za pomocą 30-proc. nadtlenku wodoru na katalizatorach tytanowo-silikalitowych: TS-1 i Ti-MWW (P. Wu, Y. Liu, M. He, T. Tatsumi, A novel titanosilicate with MWW structure. Catalytic properties in selective epoxidation of diallyl eteher with hydrogen peroxide, Journal of Catalysis 228 (2004) 183-191). Badania porównawcze prowadzono dla katalizatora Ti-MWW w następujących warunkach: temperatura 60°C, czas reakcji 0,5 h, stosunek molowy eter diallilowy/nadtlenek wodoru 2:1, stężenie rozpuszczalnika 77% wag. i ilość katalizatora 0,8% wag. Natomiast na katalizatorze TS-1 badania prowadzono w następujących warunkach: temperatura 60°C, czas reakcji 1,5 h, stosunek molowy eter diallilowy/nadtlenek wodoru 1:1, stężenie rozpuszczalnika 68% wag. i ilość katalizatora 2,7% wag. W badaniach porównawczych aktywności tych dwóch katalizatorów zastosowano następujące rozpuszczalniki: acetonitryl, aceton, wodę, metanol, etanol i dioksan. Badania wykonywano w szklanej kolbie o pojemności 20 ml wyposażonej w chłodnice zwrotną. W kolbie umieszczano eter diallilowy, rozpuszczalnik, katalizator, włączano intensywne mieszanie i kolbę ogrzewano do wymaganej temperatury reakcji. Wydłużanie czasu reakcji powodowało wzrost konwersji eteru diallilowego, ale jednocześnie zmniejszała się selektywność eteru allilowo-glicydolowego, gdyż zachodziły reakcjeTo date, allyl glycidol ether has been obtained by epoxidation of diallyl ether with 30% hydrogen peroxide on titanium-silicalite catalysts: TS-1 and Ti-MWW (P. Wu, Y. Liu, M. He, T. Tatsumi, A novel titanosilicate with MWW structure. Catalytic properties in selective epoxidation of diallyl eteher with hydrogen peroxide , Journal of Catalysis 228 (2004) 183-191). The main tests were carried out on the Ti-MWW catalyst, and on the TS-1 catalyst, the tests were only comparative to Ti-MWW and were carried out only in the first stage of the entire cycle of research on the activity of the Ti-MWW catalyst. Comparative tests were carried out for the Ti-MWW catalyst under the following conditions: temperature 60 ° C, reaction time 0.5 h, molar ratio diallyl ether / hydrogen peroxide 2: 1, solvent concentration 77% by weight. % and amount of catalyst 0.8 wt.%. On the other hand, the tests on the TS-1 catalyst were carried out under the following conditions: temperature 60 ° C, reaction time 1.5 h, molar ratio of diallyl ether / hydrogen peroxide 1: 1, solvent concentration 68% by weight. % and the amount of catalyst 2.7 wt.%. The following solvents were used to compare the activity of these two catalysts: acetonitrile, acetone, water, methanol, ethanol and dioxane. The tests were carried out in a glass flask with a capacity of 20 ml equipped with a reflux condenser. The diallyl ether, solvent, and catalyst were placed in the flask, vigorous stirring was applied and the flask was heated to the required reaction temperature. After the required temperature was reached, 30% was added dropwise to the mixture. hydrogen peroxide. These studies showed that the Ti-MWW catalyst is more active than the TS-1 catalyst in terms of epoxy compound selectivity and hydrogen peroxide conversion selectivity when tested in acetonitrile or acetone as solvent. Further studies of the influence of titanium content in the catalyst, reaction temperature and reaction time were carried out only on the Ti-MWW catalyst. The study of the influence of titanium content in the catalyst was carried out under the same conditions as the comparative tests with the TS-1 catalyst, with acetonitrile being used as the solvent. The titanium content was varied from 0 to 0.43 mmol / g. The most favorable values of the main functions describing the process were achieved for the titanium content of 0.43 mmol / g (Si / Ti = 38). The research on the influence of temperature was carried out in the same conditions as the research on the influence of titanium content, with a Ti-MWW catalyst sample with a titanium content of 0.43 mmol / g (Si / Ti = 38) selected for the tests. The temperature was varied from 7 ° C to 60 ° C with the best results with 60 ° C. The study of the reaction time effect was carried out in the same conditions as the study of the effect of titanium content, with the epoxidation carried out at a temperature of 60 ° C, and the amounts of catalyst selected for the tests were: 0.15 wt. wt. The time varied from 0 to 120 minutes. The best results were obtained for the shortest reaction times. Extending the reaction time increased the conversion of the diallyl ether, but at the same time the selectivity of the allyl glycidol ether decreased as the reactions took place.
PL 228 271 B1 uboczne i następował nieefektywny rozkład nadtlenku wodoru. Najlepsze wyniki osiągnięto dla zawartości katalizatora 0,15% wag.Byproducts and ineffective decomposition of hydrogen peroxide. The best results were obtained for the catalyst content of 0.15 wt.%.
A. Wróblewska, E. Makuch, The utilization of Ti-SBA-15 catalyst in the epoxidation of allylic alcohols, Reaction Kinetics, Mechanisms and Catalysis 105 (2012) 451-468). W powyższych warunkach technologicznych selektywność przemiany do eteru allilowo-glicydolowego wynosiła 78% mol, konwersja eteru diallilowego 9% mol, a konwersja nadtlenku wodoru 92% mol, przy selektywności przemiany nadtlenku wodoru do związków organicznych (efektywność przemiany nadtlenku wodoru) wynoszącej 16 mol%.The patent application P 408 873, 2014 (A. Wróblewska, E. Makuch, E. Sokalska, The method of obtaining allyl glycidol ether) describes a method of obtaining allyl glycidol ether based on epoxidation of diallyl ether with 30% hydrogen peroxide in the presence of a titanium-silicalite TS-1 catalyst and in a methanol medium. The process was carried out in such a way that the substrates were introduced into the glass reactor in the following order: titanium-silicalite TS-1 catalyst, diallyl ether, methanol, and finally 30% of the reactor. aqueous solution of hydrogen peroxide, the amount of TS-1 titanium-silicalite catalyst in the reaction mixture was from 1 to 9 wt.%, the molar ratio of diallyl ether to hydrogen peroxide from 0.25: 1 to 5: 1, and the concentration of methanol from 10 up to 90 wt.% The process was carried out under atmospheric pressure at a temperature of 25-80 ° C and for 15 to 240 minutes. The process was carried out using a glass reactor equipped with a reflux condenser and a magnetic stirrer, which was immersed in an oil bath heated to the desired reaction temperature. The tests carried out in this way showed that it is most advantageous to carry out the epoxidation of diallyl ether under the following conditions: temperature 70 ° C, molar ratio diallyl ether / hydrogen peroxide = 2: 1, methanol concentration 70% by weight, amount of catalyst 4% by weight, 3h reaction time and 500 rpm mixing intensity. Under the above technological conditions, the selectivity of conversion to allyl-glycidol ether was 78 mol%, the conversion of diallyl ether was 9 mol%, and the conversion of hydrogen peroxide was 92 mol%, with the selectivity of the conversion of hydrogen peroxide to organic compounds (efficiency of hydrogen peroxide conversion) equal to 16 mol%.
Dużym problemem związanym z prowadzeniem procesu epoksydacji eteru diallilowego za pomocą 30-proc. wodnego roztworu nadtlenku wodoru jest wysoka nieefektywna konwersja nadtlenku wodoru. Podczas procesu epoksydacji nadtlenek wodoru ulega konwersji w 2 kierunkach: efektywnejA big problem with carrying out the epoxidation of diallyl ether with 30% of aqueous hydrogen peroxide solution is high inefficient conversion of hydrogen peroxide. During the epoxidation process, hydrogen peroxide is converted in two directions: effective
- następuje przeniesienie tlenu do wiązania podwójnego olefiny i tworzy się epoksyd i nieefektywnej- oxygen transfers to the olefin double bond and forms an epoxide and ineffective
- następuje rozkład nadtlenku wodom. Pierwszy kierunek przemiany jest korzystny, natomiast drugi nie i należy go ograniczyć. Funkcją opisującą najlepiej stopień efektywnej przemiany nadtlenku wodoru do związków jest selektywność przemiany nadtlenku wodoru do związków organicznych. Niespodziewanie, podczas badań okazało się, że dodatek KH2PO4 do mieszaniny reakcyjnej zmniejsza nieefektywny rozkład nadtlenku wodom i zwiększa konwersję substratu organicznego.- the peroxide is decomposed in water. The first direction of transformation is favorable, while the second is not and should be limited. The function that best describes the degree of effective conversion of hydrogen peroxide to compounds is the selectivity of the conversion of hydrogen peroxide to organic compounds. Surprisingly, it was found during the research that the addition of KH2PO4 to the reaction mixture reduces the ineffective decomposition of peroxide in water and increases the conversion of the organic substrate.
Przy tym stosunku molowym w powyższych warunkach technologicznychThe method of obtaining allyl-glycidol ether according to the invention, consisting in epoxidation with diallyl ether with 30% of water peroxide, where the substrates are introduced in the following order: titanium-silicalite TS-1 catalyst, diallyl ether, methanol, 30% hydrogen peroxide, is characterized by this that the reaction is carried out in the presence of a 10% aqueous KH2PO4 solution which is fed last. The amount of TS-1 titanium catalyst in the reaction mixture was 4 wt.%, The molar ratio of diallyl ether to hydrogen peroxide was 2: 1, the methanol concentration was 70 wt.%, And the amount of 10% KH2PO4 aqueous solution was selected so that the molar ratio of the diallyl ether was to KH2PO4 was from 2 to 8. The process was carried out under atmospheric pressure at a temperature of 70 ° C and for 3 hours. For the process, a glass reactor equipped with a reflux condenser and a magnetic stirrer is used, and the reactor is heated to a temperature of 70 ° C only after all the raw materials have been added and the reaction mixture is initially stirred at ambient temperature with a magnetic stirrer for 5 minutes, which ensures initial reaction KH2PO4 with groups present on the catalyst surface which cause ineffective decomposition of hydrogen peroxide. Studies have shown that the most advantageous amount of KH2PO4 is one for which the molar ratio of diallyl ether / KH2PO4 is 6. At this molar ratio under the above technological conditions
PL 228 271 B1 selektywność przemiany do eteru allilowo-glicydolowego wynosiła 72% mol, konwersja eteru diallilowego 14% mol, a konwersja nadtlenku wodoru 78% mol, przy selektywności przemiany nadtlenku wodom do związków organicznych (efektywność przemiany nadtlenku wodom) wynoszącej 31 mol%. W porównaniu do epoksydacji prowadzonej bez dodatku KH2PO4 nastąpiło zwiększenie prawie 2krotne efektywnej konwersji nadtlenku wodom i zwiększenie o 50% konwersji eteru diallilowego. The selectivity of conversion to allyl-glycidol ether was 72 mol%, the diallyl ether conversion was 14 mol%, and the hydrogen peroxide conversion was 78 mol%, with selectivity for the conversion of water peroxide to organic compounds (efficiency of conversion of water peroxide) to 31 mol%. Compared to the epoxidation carried out without the addition of KH2PO4, the effective conversion of peroxide to water was increased almost twice and the conversion of diallyl ether was increased by 50%.
Zmniejsza to koszty procesu związane z odzyskiem surowca organicznego z mieszaniny poreakcyjnej i zawracaniem go do procesu. The advantage of the proposed epoxidation method using an aqueous KH2PO4 solution is the reduction of ineffective peroxide decomposition to water during the epoxidation of diallyl ether. KH2PO4 binding on the catalyst surface with groups causing ineffective decomposition of hydrogen peroxide inhibits this phenomenon. Moreover, an increase in the conversion of the organic feedstock (diallyl ether) is observed as more hydrogen peroxide molecules are involved in the efficient epoxidation process. This reduces the costs of the process related to the recovery of the organic raw material from the post-reaction mixture and its return to the process.
