Kapilara termometru wedlug wzoru zdobniczego posiada zbiornik kapilary z ciecza termometryczna oraz umocowana nad zbiornikiem rurke kapilarna, przy czym wzdluz rurki kapilarnej usytuowany jest centralny podluzny otwór na ciecz termometryczna oraz usytuowany na tylnej sciance rurki kapilary pasek kontrastowy do obserwacji poziomu cieczy w rurce.
