The figure is equipped with a counterweight enabling constant, measured movement of the entire figure (swaying). The submitted design, inspired by historical accounts and archival photographs, alludes to the culturally established archetype of the wealthy Jew. The design's intended use can be multifaceted – the Jewish figure, through its civilizational and cultural references, can function as a decorative figurine, a toy, a trinket, a souvenir, or an amulet of sorts. The figure, shown in profile, has a flat hull with a counterweight, connected to two flat legs mounted on a common axis passing through the hull. The face has distinctly Semitic features, with a very large and expressive aquiline nose and a pointed, overgrown beard. The entire figure sits on a circular base. The figure is dressed in black slippers, white socks, black trousers, a black frock coat decorated with gold buttons, a white shirt peeking out from under the frock coat, a red tie, and a black hat. He holds a gold coin in his hand. The clearly defined belly, gold buttons, and gold coin emphasize the Jew's wealth. All elements of the figure are flat and hand-painted. The first design is shown in photos 1.1, 1.2, and 1.3. A variation of the submitted industrial design is a figure of identical shape and construction, whose headgear is a skullcap instead of a hat. The second design is shown in photo 1.4. Photo 1.5 summarizes the submitted variations. Essential features of the submitted industrial design: shape, contours, colors and ornamentation as shown in the illustrations.
