Opis wynalazkuDescription of the invention
Przedmiotem wynalazku jest warstwowa kompozycja szklana i sposób otrzymywania kompozycji szklanej. The present invention relates to a layered glass composition and a method for making the glass composition.
Kompozycje szklane w postaci płyt funkcjonalnych stosuje się do produkcji mebli, w szczególności blatów stołów i stolików, półek, parawanów, ozdobnych ścianek działowych. Glass compositions in the form of functional boards are used in the production of furniture, in particular table and table tops, shelves, screens, decorative partitions. The term "glass composition" is understood to mean the juxtaposition of a number of pieces of glass, of the same type or different grades-colors of glass, in order to obtain the intended artistic or functional effects. The possibility of cutting glass of any shape, a huge number of different colors of glass, various adhesives for glass and the possibility of thermal processing create unlimited possibilities of creating various glass compositions.
Glass compositions such as stained glass are known, made by joining colored pieces of glass in one plane with a lead tape. In this way, you can present floral and geometric motifs, genre scenes, biblical scenes, etc. There is also a known technique called "Fusing", which gives similar visual effects to stained glass, but completely different. “Fusing consists of melting colored pieces of different glasses into colorless glass. After placing the cut colored glasses on the glass pane, the whole is placed horizontally in the furnace and fired at the glass softening temperature, i.e. about 600 ° C. A similar effect can be obtained by sticking small chamfered glass elements on a standard glass pane, which together form simple geometric or plant elements. Special colorless adhesives are used for these compositions. For additional effects, you can use colored panes or tint the glue. These types of compositions are used on glass for doors.
The methods of making glass compositions intended for the production of table tops, windows, display windows, partition walls are expensive due to their labor consumption. The mechanical strength of the panes of glass compositions is in many cases limited by the use of stained glass or the technique of "fusing". Glass shards are a hazard if broken. The surfaces of these panes are difficult to clean and maintain.
The object of the invention is therefore to provide such a glass composition in the form of a pane, which optimizes this type of set of glass compositions in order to retain all its advantages and, moreover, to obtain a product with increased mechanical strength in the form of a pane quite in demand in both the construction and furniture industries.
The composition according to the invention comprises three layers of transparent, especially glass, sheets glued over the entire surface, the inner of which is a broken sheet of toughened glass.
The effect of hitting a 0.25 kg hammer on the protruding corner of the toughened glass pane, covered on both sides with panes of transparent glass with increased mechanical strength, but not toughened, on both sides, was surprising. Well, the compressive stresses generated in the toughening process were released, causing the internal pane to crack into small pieces, resulting in the so-called fracture mesh effect known as ice glass.
Powstała w ten sposób kompozycja w postaci tafli charakteryzuje się dużą wytrzymałością mechaniczną i wyglądem rozbitej szyby. The resulting composition in the form of a pane is characterized by high mechanical strength and the appearance of a broken glass.
1 przedstawia płytę w widoku z przodu, a fig. 2 w widoku z boku. The subject matter of the invention is illustrated in the accompanying drawing, in which fig. 1 shows the plate in a front view, and fig. 2 in a side view. The subject of the invention has the shape of a plate made of three layers, the middle glass layer 2 placed between two transparent plates 1 and 2, in the form of a broken toughened glass pane.
Preferowany sposób otrzymywania kompozycji szklanej w postaci tafli lodowej polega zatem na naruszeniu równowagi naprężeń w wewnętrznej warstwie szklanej. Thus, a preferred method of obtaining an ice sheet glass composition is to upset the stress balance in the inner glass layer.
Stosując wynalazek w praktyce według podanych poniżej przykładów, trzeba zatem doprowadzić do naruszenia stanu równowagi naprężeń ściskających w wewnętrznej warstwie kompozycji szklanej.By practicing the invention according to the examples which follow, it is therefore necessary to disturb the equilibrium of the compressive stresses in the inner layer of the glass composition.

Naruszenie powierzchni szyby hartowanej powoduje jej popękanie. The three glass panes glued over the entire surface, the middle of which is the toughened glass pane, should be subjected to the edge grinding process on an edge grinder equipped with diamond discs for grinding laminated glass. The grinder should be set to grind the glass layer at least 4 mm thick during one pass through the machine. It does not matter which side you start sanding. During the grinding process, the edges of all three panes are processed. Violation of the surface of the toughened glass causes it to crack.

Three glass panes glued on their entire surface, the middle of which is a toughened glass pane, should be subjected to the edge grinding process on an edge grinder equipped with toothed discs intended for grinding laminated glass. Such a grinder should also have polishing wheels together with felt wheels wetted with an aqueous suspension of cerium oxide as the polishing material to the highest gloss - the so-called brilliant polish. If the pane is to be used as a table or bench top, all corners should be rounded on a special machine for rounding the corners, which machine perfectly rounds all the corners equally and polishes them at the same time.
The strength and performance parameters of the pane glass composition obtained by the process according to the invention are very advantageous for the furniture and construction industries.
