In this case, the device is removed from the split wood only at the storage location. The essence of the industrial design is a new, original solution, manifested in its shape, construction, exceptional functionality, and high practical and aesthetic values. The device facilitating the splitting of wood, according to the design, is new and original compared to previously known solutions of this type. The device facilitating wood splitting will be manufactured using a method consistent with the current state of technology and from generally available materials. Its purpose is to significantly improve the comfort and safety of the lumberjack's work. The subject of the industrial design is shown in the attached drawing. Fig. 1 of this drawing shows a device fastened around a wooden block, while Fig. 2 shows the device mounted on this block in a side view. The device facilitating wood splitting according to the industrial design consists of a link chain 1, a rubber band 2 with loops 4 at both ends, and a hook 3. Chain 1 is terminated on one end with a hook 3, and rubber band 2 with loops 4 is built into chain 1 so that the length of the chain between loops 4 is greater than the length of rubber band 2, as shown in the attached drawing. Hook 3 is permanently attached to chain 1 on the side where rubber is incorporated 2. The open end of hook 3 is inserted into the appropriate link of chain 1 so that chain 1 and rubber 2 tightly enclose the splitting wood 5 and prevent the chain from slipping off the wood 5. A wooden block with this device attached is placed on a base, for example, a tree stump, and the woodcutter striking it repeatedly with the axe, each time splitting a specific section of the block. It is important that individual pieces of the block do not scatter sideways, and the woodcutter does not have to bend repeatedly to continue splitting the block into smaller and smaller pieces. During splitting, the rubber stretches, and the chain protects the block from breaking into pieces. A person using a device based on this industrial design will not have to bend down repeatedly, thus avoiding back pain. Occupational health and safety standards are also higher due to the minimized risk of flying splinters of wood. The free end of the chain is used for possible transfer of split wood to the storage place, where the device in question is detached by pulling the chain 1 from the hook 3.
