Description

Gdy w ten sposób wytworzona farba zostaje powleczona, to czastki meta¬ lowe wiaza tlen z powietrza, przyczem jednoczesnie olej farby szybko sie utlenia.Powloka wysycha przeto predko i staje sie nadzwyczaj twarda i trwala. Z drugiej strony zaoszczedza sie do¬ dawania sykatywów. PL PLIn the production of oil paints protecting against rust, it is common to use metals in a finely divided state, i.e. in the form of so-called metal dust. This metal dust is also intended to impart mechanical resistance to the dried coating. The production of such a protective coating in oil painting, primarily linseed oil and other drying oils, is achieved by oxidizing these oils. As is known, so-called siccatives are used to accelerate the drying of such coatings. The present invention differs in that accelerated drying is achieved by using extremely fine metal particles obtained through chemical and metallurgical processes, with which the paint bases, i.e., oils and the like, are ground. As is known, the fine metal particles thus produced vigorously attract oxygen from the air. When the paint produced in this way is coated, the metal particles bind oxygen from the air, while the paint's oil oxidizes quickly. The coating dries quickly and becomes exceptionally hard and durable. Due to the fineness of its particles, the coating has an extraordinary covering ability, adheres very strongly, and is therefore an excellent protective agent. By using metals with rust-preventing properties, such as manganese, lead, and zinc, high-quality, fast-drying, rust-preventing paints can be obtained. The above advantages are further enhanced by a significantly simplified production process, as the paint material does not require grinding. Furthermore, the addition of siccatives is avoided.
