Znane są konstrukcje lin stalowo-gumowych opisane w polskich opisach patentowych o numerach 100 479 i 145 595, a także w opisie patentowym brytyjskim numer 2 027 553, w opisie patentowym francuskim numer 2 583 915 iw opisach patentowych niemieckich o numerach 827 666, 2 114 278 i 3 511 222. Wszystkie te rozwiązania są skomplikowane technicznie, zaś liny wyrównawcze zawierają wagowo dużą ilość gumy w stosunku do masy linek stalowych. I tak płaska lina wyrównawcza stalowo-gumowa według opisu patentowego numer 145 595 wzdłuż całej swej długości ma zawulkanizowane elementy kalibrujące wykonane z materiału ferromagnetycznego.
