Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a sofa which can be used as a bed without requiring a process of adjusting the frame member to a swiveling mechanism by placing each pivot of links in the swiveling mechanism of the bed part within the connection range of serial links and a side beam, and in the direction of the seat part outside the projected plane of the bed plane. CONSTITUTION: The seat part 2 of this sofa is stored with a bed part, which is the extended seat plane or bed plane and can be taken out from the seat part 2. The bed part consists of a movable cart 5, and the cart 5 has a frame member 6 on which a cushion 4 is mounted and side beams 12 which are supported by rollers 18. The frame member 6 and the side beam 12 are connected by a swiveling mechanism 7.
