Description
Przedmiotem wynalazku jest sposób wytwarzania ceramicznych narzędzi ściernych o spoiwie szklanokrystalicznym. The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing glass-crystal bonded ceramic abrasive tools.
Ceramic abrasive tools are made by bonding abrasive grains with a ceramic binder. As ceramic binders on an industrial scale, frit and semi-frit binders (with the addition of plastic raw materials) are used, which are mixed with the abrasive in strictly defined proportions, depending on the characteristics of the designed abrasive tool. The formed abrasive tools are fired at temperatures between the softening point and the melting point of the vitreous bond and then cooled to ambient temperature. The binders present in the final product, i.e. the finished abrasive tool, in the abrasive tools produced so far, made with the use of the above-mentioned raw materials and known methods, are amorphous binders or binders with a partially uncontrolled crystalline phase.
W polskim zgłoszeniu patentowym P. 255893 podano sposób wytwarzania ceramicznych narzędzi ściernych ze spoiwem o właściwościach krystalizujących i niesterowalnej wielkości kryształów spoiwa. The Polish patent application P. 255893 describes a method of producing ceramic abrasive tools with a bond with crystallizing properties and an uncontrollable size of the bond crystals. In this application, a binder with the following chemical composition in percent by weight (wt%): 30-50% SiO 2 ; 10-25% Al2O3; 2-10% TiO 2 ; 10-30% ZnO; 1-15% PbO; 5-25% B2O3, is mixed with the abrasive, plasticizes and, after shaping, is fired at a temperature not exceeding 1150 ° C, then cooled at a controlled speed, first to 600 ° C and then to ambient temperature.
Informacje zawarte w innym polskim zgłoszeniu patentowym P. 260494, dotyczą sposobu wytwarzania narzędzi z udziałem spoiwa ceramicznego w postaci żużla pomiedziowego, zawierającego następujące składniki wyrażone w procentach wagowych (% wag): poniżej 2% CuO; powyżej 20% SiO2; 10-40% AI2O3; 10-30% CaO; poniżej 20% MgO; poniżej 30% Fe2O3· Uformowane narzędzia wypala się w temperaturze powyżej 1200°C, w wyniku czego uzyskuje się narzędzia z częściową, niekontrolowaną fazą krystaliczną w spoiwieThe information contained in another Polish patent application P. 260494 relates to a method of producing tools with the participation of a ceramic binder in the form of copper slag, containing the following components expressed as percentages by weight (wt%): less than 2% CuO; greater than 20% SiO2; 10-40% Al2O3; 10-30% CaO; less than 20% MgO; below 30% Fe2O3 The formed tools are fired at a temperature above 1200 ° C, resulting in tools with a partial, uncontrolled crystalline phase in the binder
Contrary to the above-mentioned solutions, the method of producing tools according to the invention allows for obtaining tools with a glass-crystalline binder with a controlled (set) crystalline phase and adjustable grain size of the binder.
The method of producing ceramic abrasive tools according to the invention consists in using a powdered slag glass frit as a binder, containing the following components expressed as percentages per mole (mole%): 30-70% S1O2; 2-10% Al2O3; 10-30%

CaO; 8-30% MgO; 0,01-15% ZnO; 1-10% FeO+Fe^Os; 0,05-2% CuO; 0,05-0,5% MnO; 0,1-0,5% Na2O; 1-5% K2O; 0,5-5% Li2O; 2-15% B2O3; 0-15% T1O2. CaO; 8-30% MgO; 0.01-15% ZnO; 1-10% FeO + Fe2 Os; 0.05-2% CuO; 0.05-0.5% MnO; 0.1-0.5% Na2O; 1-5% K2O; 0.5-5% Li2O; 2-15% B2O3; 0-15% T1O2. After shaping, the abrasive tools are fired at a temperature of no more than 1180 ° C for no more than 5 hours, and then the processing temperature is lowered to the nucleation temperature of the desired crystalline phase, preferably diopside. The duration of the thermal crystallization treatment depends on the required grain size of the glass crystal binder.
The advantageous effect of the method according to the invention is that it allows to obtain tools with a glass crystal, especially diopside, binder with an adjustable particle size.
