W technice dentystycznej do niedawna uzywano metali szlachetnych zlota lub pla¬ tyny, która pieciokrotnie przewyzsza cene zlota. Rózni sie od platyny jedynie punk¬ tem topliwosci, a bardzo nieznacznie bar¬ wa. A wiec nadaje sie w technice denty¬ stycznej do robót sztancowanych, gietych, ciagnionych, lutowanych i t. d., jednakze ze wzgledu na wysoki punkt topliwosci i do¬ skonala ciagliwosc, stop powyzszy jest ma¬ lo zdatny do robót lanych i sprezysto- klamrowych; dla tych robót zupelnie odpo¬ wiedni jest stop zlota w granicach dwu¬ dziestu dwu karatów, skladajacy sie z jedenastu do siedmiu czesci zlota i jednej czesci domieszki, która sie sklada ze zbli¬ zonych równych czesci niklu i palladu, da¬ jacy aljaz o barwie platynowo-bialej, tak samo jak platyna, odporny na wszelkie kwasy; stop powyzszy nadaje sie równiez do lutowania zlota palladowego. Metal ten kalkuluje sie co najmniej o 10% taniej od zlota palladowego. PLUntil recently, dentistry used precious metals, gold or platinum, which was five times more expensive than gold. The intermediate precious metal, white, was unknown in dental technology. On the other hand, an alloy of gold within twenty-two carats, consisting of eleven to seven parts of gold and one part of palm oil, gives a platinum-white color; a metal with excellent ductility and flexibility, resistant to all acids, just like platinum. It differs from platinum only in its fusing point, and very slightly in color. Thus, it is suitable in the dental technique for die-cut, bent, drawn, brazed work, etc., however, due to its high melting point and excellent ductility, the above alloy is not suitable for cast and resilient works; for these works, an alloy of gold within twenty-two carats, consisting of eleven to seven parts of gold and one part of an admixture, which is composed of approximate equal parts of nickel and palladium, is quite suitable, giving an ally of the color platinum-white, same as platinum, resistant to all acids; the above alloy is also suitable for soldering palladium gold. This metal is calculated at least 10% cheaper than palladium gold. PL
