Stosowanym powszechnie sposobem zapewnienia bezpieczenstwa osób poruszajacych s i e po peronie w czasie przejazdu pociagu, jest umieszczenie na p lycie peronu, w odleglosci okreslonej przepisami, sygnalu ostrzegawczego, w postaci biegnacego wzdluz krawedzi peronu barwnego pasa. A platform slab is a structural element of a railway station platform, composed of precast concrete parts, including concrete plinths on which slabs are placed, providing a surface for the convenient movement of people and goods transported by rail. A commonly used method of ensuring the safety of people moving on the platform during train passage is to place a warning signal on the platform slab, at a distance specified by regulations, in the form of a colored stripe running along the edge of the platform. These stripes are usually white, while the slab is red. Platform slabs with stripes in colors other than white, clearly contrasting with the color of the slab, are known. These stripes are glued or painted on the platform slab. Figure 3 shows an enlarged fragment of a variant of the platform slab according to the industrial design, with clearly visible bulges 4 of the beam 2 fixed in the recess 3 of the slab 1. An essential feature of the precast reinforced concrete platform slab with a colored stripe running along the platform edge is that the colored stripe running along the platform edge is a reinforced concrete beam permanently fixed in the platform slab recess.
