Oligomeric nonionic surfactants with the structure of hydrophobic-hydrophilic block or graft copolymers are known. They are obtained by copolymerization of hydrophobic monomers, for example styrene or isoprene, with hydrophilic monomers such as ethylene or propylene oxide. The group of non-ionic surfactants also includes addition products of ethylene oxide to alcohols and fatty acids as well as ethoxylated alkylphenols. From US Patents No. 2,599,974 and No. 3,554,956 as well as East Germany No. 135,623 and No. 154,460, methods of producing linear oligohydroxyetheramines by solventless heating of stoichiometric amounts of epoxy dianic resins and aliphatic or aromatic monoamines. According to these descriptions, thermoplastic polyhydroxyetheramines, soluble in organic solvents, are obtained. The aim of the invention was to develop a method for the preparation of oligohydroxyetheramines with surfactant properties. It was found that oligohydroxyetheramines having surfactant properties were obtained by heating at 40-150 ° C. C, preferably 70-110 ° C, an epoxy resin of the general formula I in which k is from 0.1 to 7, and m is from 1 to 10, with an alkanolamine or an amino acid and with an amine of the general formula C2nH4n + iNH2, in which n is from 6 to 9, and the resulting product is optionally reacted with a carboxylic acid or an alkyl or benzyl halide. In the process according to the invention, ethanolamine or propanolamine is preferably used as the alkanolamine and the amino acid is acetic or formic acid. According to the invention, the reactions of oligohydroxyetheramines with carboxylic acids or halides are preferably carried out in an inert organic solvent. For 1 mole of epoxy groups in the epoxy resin of the formula given in the figure, in which they have the above meanings, from 0.45 to 0.60 moles of NH2 groups in an alkanolamine or an amino acid and an amine of the general formula C2nH4n + andNH2 are used, where n is from 6 to 9 in total. For 1 mole of alkanolamine or amino acid, 0.1 to 10 moles of amine of general formula C2nH4n + iNH2 are used. The obtained oligohydroxyetheramines are - depending on the proportion of amine of general formula C2nH4n + iNH2 - soluble in water or in organic solvents and enable the preparation of stable emulsions of the "oil in water" or "water in oil" type. Example I. A mixture of 50 g (0.3 moles of epoxy groups) of epoxy resin obtained from diethylene glycol, 24, 12 g (0.09 mol) of n-octadecylamine and 3.7 g (0.06 mol) of ethanolamine were heated at 80-90 ° C for 2.5 hours. Obtained 75 g of a product with an average molecular weight determined by the method of steam osmometry (VPO) of 2200, soluble in water, toluene and other organic solvents. A mixture of 50 g (0.275 mol of epoxy groups) of epoxy resin obtained from triethylene glycol, 5.9 g (0.1 mol) of ethanolamine and 11.1 g (0.04 mol) of n-octadecylamine is heated at a temperature of 100-110 ° C for 3 hours. 66 g of product are obtained with an average molecular weight of 1600, soluble in water and organic solvents. Example III. The reactions are carried out as described in Example II, except that 7.5 g (0.1 mol) of aminoacetic acid are used instead of ethanolamine. A product of 67.5 g of similar characteristics is obtained. Example IV. 1.0 g of the product, the preparation of which is described in Example II, was dissolved in 100 g of toluene, then 100 g of water was added and the whole was mixed in a homogenizer for 5 minutes at 5000 rpm. The obtained oil-in-water emulsions, the separation degree of which was 0.6% by volume after 480 hours. Example 5. 2.0 g of the product described in Example 1 was dissolved in 100 g of toluene, and then 100 g of water were added. and homogenized as described in Example IV. An oil-in-water emulsion was obtained, the degree of separation of which after 480 hours was 6% by volume.
