Zwiekszenie jed¬ nego z tych parametrów stwarza koniecznosc zwiekszenia grubosci polaczen z jednoczesnym zwiekszeniem grubosci elementu sciernego. The well-known segment grinding wheel for cutting is composed of a holder in the form of a sleeve with flanges, between which a wheel is mounted. On the circumference of the wheel, abrasive segments are placed, each of which consists of an abrasive element and a metal plate connected to it, which serves to fix the segment on the periphery of the disc. Due to the high breaking stresses originating from the centrifugal force and acting on the connections between the abrasive segment and the wheel disc and the abrasive element clamping plate, the cutting speed is limited as well as the diameter of the grinding wheel, and therefore the cutting depth. Increasing one of these parameters makes it necessary to increase the thickness of the joints while increasing the thickness of the abrasive element. This, in turn, increases the energy consumption of the cutting process, as well as the amount of waste of abrasive and cut-to-size material.
