Description
Patent austrjacki ."N» 68169 ochrania spo¬ sób, wedlug którego otrzymuje sie wegiel odbarwiajacy o wielkiej sile odbarwiajacej przez ogrzewanie z chlorkiem cynku wszel¬ kiego rodzaju substancyj, zawierajacych wegiel, jako to: celulozy, trocin, wegla bru¬ natnego, wegla kamiennego, odpadków zwierzecych i t. d.Przytem trzeba, jak to wynika z przykla¬ dów podanych w opisie patentowym, do¬ prowadzac ogrzewanie az do destylacji chlorku cynku. PLThe Austrian patent "No. 68169" protects the method of obtaining decolorizing carbon with great decolorizing power by heating with zinc chloride of all kinds of substances containing carbon, such as: cellulose, sawdust, brown coal, hard coal It is necessary, as is evident from the examples given in the patent specification, to heat until the distillation of zinc chloride. It has now been found that it is not necessary to heat the mixture of organic substances with zinc chloride until distillation of zinc chloride to convert the organics to a high-value decolorizing carbon, but it is perfectly sufficient to heat a mixture of organics with zinc chloride to temperatures at which zinc chloride still does not evaporate, namely when heating mixture only as long and at such temperatures, until the organic matter is transformed into carbon under the influence of anhydrous zinc chloride active gel. This new method, compared to the method described in the Ma 68169 patent, represents a significant technical advance. Due to the lower reaction temperature, the fuel consumption is reduced in the new process, and, at the same time, because zinc chloride volatilizes at this temperature, there is no need for the condensation of zinc chloride vapors, which is condensed by the method of Austrian patent JsS 68169 for reasons of economic is needed, and this process can be carried out to the end at this low temperature in metal, e.g. iron appliances, which in the case of patent Ns 68169 is therefore impossible, because the zinc chloride vapors present would lead to the destruction of Iron. Like the method according to patent N2 68169, the method, which is the subject of the present invention, can be used to revitalize discoloring carbon of any origin. PL
