Cel ten osiagnieto przez doda¬ wanie granulatu polimetakrylenu metylu do wyjsciowej kompozycji polimerów w takiej ilosci aby podczas wytlaczania i rozciagania folii uzyskac odpowiedni efekt perlowy. Przyklad I. Sporzadza sie mieszanine polimerów w postaci granulatów skladajaca sie z 69,996 polipropylenu foliowego, 20% polietylenu o malej gestosci, 7% polimetakrylanu me¬ tylu. Nastepnie dodaje sie 3% wosku polietylenowego oraz 0,1% zólcieni plastolowej 6%, po czym poddaje sie te mieszanine procesowi wytlaczania, chlodzenia i ciecia na tasiemki^ a nastepnie rozciagowi przy stopniu rozciagu - 9.Przyklad II. Sporzadza sie mieszanine z polimerów w postaci granulatów skladajaca sie z 60,9% polipropylenu foliowego, 18,3% polietylenu o malej gestosci, 6,1% polimetakrylanu metylu, 12,2% polisterenu udarowego. Nastepnie dodaje sie 2,4% wosku polietylenowego i 0,1% czerwieni plastolowej. Pracownia Poligraficzna UP PRL. The so far known method of producing decorative ribbons with a pearl appearance from thermoplastic, including those based on polyolefins, consists in adding pigments from the group of inorganic compounds of lead and bismuth. The ingredients are mixed and liquefied by heating, then stirred for a long time in this state until the pigment is evenly distributed, and then the tapes are produced by foil extrusion. It is also known to produce a pearl effect in the manufacture of articles other than ribbons by adding a different polymer to the polystyrene, ie polymethyl methacrylate powder or 50% polyvinyl acetate. As polystyrene is a brittle material, it is therefore not suitable for the production of decorative ribbons. The aim of the invention is to obtain decorative ribbons with a pearl appearance from a polyolefin-based thermoplastic without the use of pigments. This goal was achieved by adding polymethyl methacrylate granules to the original polymer composition in such an amount that during the extrusion and stretching of the film, the appropriate pearlescent effect was obtained. isotactic, most preferably 55-70%, 10-40% polyethylene low density most preferably 10-25%, 0-30% impact polystyrene, most preferably 10-15% and 4-15% polymethyl methacrylate, most preferably 5-10% are mixed with addition of 2-4% polyethylene wax, 0.1-3% of a dye appropriate for a given material. The composition prepared in this way is subjected to extruding, during which the melting and simultaneous mixing takes place, i.e. the appropriate homogenization of the ingredients. After cooling down from the nozzle and cutting it into ribbons of the required width, it is subjected to a stretching process to a stretch degree of 5-9. These ribbons can then be stabilized and / or embossed in a known manner.2 138 730 The ribbons obtained according to the invention are characterized by a pronounced pearlescent effect, resulting from the use of polymethyl methacrylate, reinforced with the addition of polystyrene and the use of high stretch, high aesthetic qualities, ie a high degree of gloss and softness, obtained by the addition of polyethylene and wax. The process according to the invention does not require the components of the composition to be melted, as is the case with the use of pigments. Example I. A polymer mixture in the form of granules is prepared consisting of 69,996 foil polypropylene, 20% low density polyethylene, 7% methyl polymethacrylate. . 3% polyethylene wax and 0.1% 6% plastol yellows are then added, and this mixture is subjected to a process of extrusion, cooling and ribbon cutting and then stretching with a stretch degree of 9. Example II. A polymer mixture in the form of granules is prepared consisting of 60.9% polypropylene foil, 18.3% low density polyethylene, 6.1% polymethyl methacrylate, 12.2% impact polystyrene. Then 2.4% polyethylene wax and 0.1% plastol red are added. Further, the procedure is as in example I, except that the degree of stretching is used - 8. Patent claim A method of producing decorative ribbons with a pearl appearance from a thermoplastic based on polyolefins by melting the composition of the ingredients and forming the ribbons by means of foil extrusion, characterized by a mixture of plastics in the form of granules consisting of 40-80% isotactic polypropylene, 1040% low-density polyethylene, 0-30% impact polystyrene and 4-15% polymethyl methacrylate with the addition of 2-4% polyethylene wax and 0.1-3% of a suitable dye for plastics, while the tapes are pulled out 5-9 times during extraction.
