The side frame of the armchair, according to the industrial design, differs significantly in shape from the commonly known armchair legs used in the furniture industry. These familiar legs are shaped like a channel, one of whose lower arms provides support, while the other, the upper arm, supports the arm of the chair user. Both arms are connected by a crossbar perpendicular to them. The arms are connected to the crossbar by arc-shaped sections. The side frame of the armchair, according to the industrial design, is characterized by its shape resembling a horizontally arranged letter "U," the upper arm of which, connecting to the crossbar in a semicircle, has the shape of an upwardly curved arc. The lower arm is composed of a horizontal straight section connected to a crossbar on one side and to a section in the shape of a downward curved arc on the other. The lower surface of the horizontal section of the lower arm is connected to a support having a horizontal, straight section ending in a downward curved arc. Inside the "U" profile, between its arms, there is an element in the shape of a semicircle, constituting a stiffener for the frame. In the variant shown in Fig. 1, the element placed between the arms of the "U"-shaped profile has its convexity facing the crossbar connecting both arms. In the variant shown in Fig. 2, the element placed between the arms of the "U"-shaped profile has its convexity facing the opposite direction to the crossbar connecting both arms. The essential features of the industrial design are the original shape of the armchair's side frame, which is similar to a horizontally arranged letter "U", the upper arm of which, connected to the crossbar in the shape of a semicircle, has the shape of an upwardly bent arc, while the lower arm is composed of a horizontal straight section connected to the crossbar on one side and on the other side, connected to a section in the shape of a downward bent arc, and the lower surface of the horizontal section of the lower arm is connected to a support having a horizontal, straight section ending in a downward arc, and inside the profile of the letter "U", between its arms, there is an element in the shape of an almost semicircle, constituting a stiffening of the frame. In the first variant, the element in a shape close to a semicircle is placed inside the U-shaped profile with its convexity facing the crossbar connecting the arms of the U-shaped profile, while in the second variant, this element is facing the convexity in the opposite direction to the crossbar connecting the arms of the U-shaped profile.
