Zaślepka (1) otworu odwadniającego do ościeżnic okiennych ma siatkę zakrywającą otwór odwadniający znajdujący się w części dolnej ościeżnicy okiennej. Siatka może być mocowana pomiędzy zaczepami (5), na zaczepach (5) lub w części koło otworu wylotowego zaślepki. Siatki mogą mieć przekroje owalne, okrągłe, prostokątne, trapezowe, trójkątne, kwadratowe, kształtu graniastosłupa lub o innych kształtach geometrycznych lub też mogą to być siatki płaskie.
