The problem of humidifying, drying or cooling air is an important issue in air-conditioning, and in water cooling - a problem occurring in the power industry and water management of industrial plants. 57 518 devices are known which use the principle of air-water contact on contact surfaces, but the contact plates used in these devices are complicated to construct and do not provide turbulent streams, which limits the mass and heat transfer coefficients. The use of cross-flow causes an uneven flow of the liquid. Other devices described in Patent No. 85,475 have no contact surfaces, which also do not ensure uniformity of the flow of the liquid. There are also devices, such as, for example, described in Patent No. 94054, equipped with complex devices the moving parts, however, the moving parts of these devices are exposed to corrosion. The aim of the invention is to design a device ensuring a large surface of phase contact with simultaneous good mixing of liquid and gas. The device according to the invention is characterized by the fact that it is equipped with one or more tubes filled with helicoidally coiled strips of metal or other material with a surface ensuring good wettability of the liquid. The device according to the invention is shown in the example of the embodiment in the drawing, in which fig. 1 shows a side view of the device in a schematic view, fig. 2 shows the device in a top view, Fig. 3 shows a variant of the device in a side view in a schematic view, and Fig. 4 shows a variant of the device in a top view As shown in Fig. 1, the device is a reservoir 1 partially divided by a partition 2 into two chambers - inlet A and outlet B, equipped with into the inlet 3 and outlet 4 for air and nozzles 5 spraying water in chamber A of the tank and nozzles 62 120 874 discharging water from the collecting cones 7 and 8, and inside the tank there are open pipes 9 on both sides filled with helicoidally wound strips made of a material with an easily wettable surface, the space between the pipes and the tank housing is closed for the flow of gas and liquid, and the water spray nozzles are located centrally over the filled pipe strips. Figure 3 shows a variant of the device according to the invention. A variant of the device is a tank 10 equipped with an inlet stub 11, a drop catcher 12 connected to the outlet stub 13 for air, nozzles 14 spraying water and a stub pipe 15 draining water from the collecting cone 16, and inside the tank there are pipes 17, filled with coils, open on both sides. These helicoidal strips made of a material with an easily wettable surface, the space between the pipes and the tank housing is closed to the flow of gas and liquid, and the spray nozzles are located centrally over the filled pipe strips. The device shown in Figs. 1 and 2 operates as follows: The air is supplied to the device from above through the inlet port 3, and then it flows in a swirling motion through pipes 9 filled with helicoidally wound stripes to the bottom of the device. On top of each pipe in the upper part of the device there are nozzles 5 for spraying water. It flows over the surface of the coiled strips filling the pipes in contact with the air. In these pipes, air is humidified or cooled, or the water is cooled, depending on the process carried out and the parameters of the liquid and gas introduced. In the lower part of the device, the water is separated from the air and the water is drained through the collecting cone 7. The air with the water droplets entrained flows into chamber B, separated in the upper part from chamber A by a partition Z. In chamber B there are also pipes filled with helicoidally wound stripes through which air flows to the top of the device. During this flow, due to the swirling movement caused by the air flow along the stripes, the remaining water drops are separated and discharged from the device through the collecting cone 8. Figures 3 and 4 show a variant of the device having only one chamber. In this device, air is supplied through the inlet port 11 from the bottom of the column and water from the top through spray nozzles 14 located above the tubes filled with coiled strips. The air and water conditioning process takes place in the filled tubes. The air flows out through the outlet 13, in which the drop catcher is placed 12. The water is drained from the device through the port 15 through the collecting cone 16. Patent claims 1.
