Currents in the neutral conductor usually have alternating components in addition to the DC components. The voltage drops from both of these components add up with the operating signals, leading to the formation of disturbances, crosstalk, and even unwanted connections and oscillations in the system. power supply consists in reducing the impedance of these conductors either passively, by shortening and thickening the conductors, or in active ways, by using additional electronic compensation circuits.
