Abstract

The utility model relates to a filter unit adapted as pre-filter system for water filtration. The filter unit comprises a filter housing comprising a water inlet, a water outlet and at least a first filter and a second filter. The first filter and the second filter are positioned in a single filter housing. The first filter and the second filter comprise a tubular shaped filter material and a central discharge channel. Water enters the filter unit through the water inlet and flows subsequently through the first filter and the second filter and leaves the unit through the water inlet. The filter unit furthermore comprises at least a first gasket and a second gasket to ensure that no filter step is by-passed. The utility model further relates to the use of a filter unit as a pre-reverse osmosis filter.
