Abstract

This utility model teaches a method of handling and transporting crustaceans using a double layer corrugated carton box. The method comprises the steps of: a. preparing the carton box by cleaning and drying said box; b. lining the inside bottom portion of the carton box with recyclable material; c. securing the extremities of the crustaceans; d. sorting, weighing, and cleaning the crustaceans; e. pre-cooling crustaceans in water at 15øC for 5 minutes to minimize aggression during transport; f. stacking the crustaceans up to two layers; g. covering the crustaceans with wet lining material; and h. closing the box with the cover provided and securing said box for transport.
