Abstract

Disclosed is a solar powered street light that includes an elongated vertical post having a bracket member attached at the top end of said elongated vertical post and a base member structurally embedded on the ground supporting said elongated vertical post. An arm extends outwardly from said elongated vertical post and a lighting fixture is connected at the end of said arm, the lighting fixture adapted to hold a light source. A plurality of solar panels is securely held to said bracket member and being positioned to receive solar radiation. A control box is attached at the mid-section of said elongated vertical post enclosing a series of chargeable batteries and a control circuit is electrically connected to the light source and plurality of solar panels.
