Abstract
The present utility model provides a ready-to-use multi-nutrient composition for complementary foods and other food products which consist of an extruded base, vitamins, minerals, and binder. It also provides a process for preparing fortified complementary foods or any recipe using the present utility model. In carrying out the present utility model, four major steps are used: (i) Preparation of an extruded granular base excipient; (ii) Preparation of a concentrated multi-nutrient blend; (iii) Preparation of a multi-nutrient composition; and (iv) Preparation of a multi-nutrient fortified food.
