The present utility model relates to an elevated track for an automated guide-way transit system defining a guide-way, said guide way comprising spaced apart guide way beams supported by a plurality of spaced apart supporting columns, spaced apart lateral bracings being provided at the opposed portions of said guide way beams, said supporting columns being defined by a footing, vertical section extending from said footing and a pier cap at the upper portion of said column, said guide way beams are provided with angle bar armoring along the squared edges thereof and a power rail provided at the inner wall of the lateral bracings just above the guide way beams to allow the current collector assembly to electrically communicate with the power rail.
