Abstract
The present invention is provided with: a side frame 10 which extends in the front-rear direction of a vehicle body; a bracket 13 which has the upper end side joined to a prescribed region of the side frame 10, and which extends downwards; and a protruding member 18 which protrudes from the bracket 13 towards the front of the vehicle body. In the side frame 10, a region more towards the front side of the vehicle body than the bracket 13 has a lower rigidity than another region 20. A first impact absorption part 21 is configured which is capable of being crushed towards the rear of the vehicle body during an impact. The remaining crush length Y in the front-rear direction of the vehicle body when the first impact absorption part 21 has been fully crushed is set so as to be equal to or greater than the protrusion length X of the protruding member 18 from the bracket 13.
