Abstract

Disclosed is a novel retail system and method based on facial recognition, the system comprising an automatic vending machine, a payment server and a back-end; the automatic vending machine has a camera, a mobile phone number entry module, a stored value recharge system, a single board computer, an offline communications apparatus and a shipping system; the camera,the mobile phone number entry module, the stored value recharge system and the single board computer input terminal are connected, the single board computer output terminal connects to the offline communications apparatus and the shipping system;the offline communications apparatus and the payment server are communicatively connected via LAN; the single board computer converts, in turn, mobile phone numbers and facial recognition data of consumers into offline code and transmits the code to the payment server via the offline communications apparatus; the payment server is disposed between the automatic vending machine and the back-end; the back-end comprises a facial recognition server, a back-end stored value recharge service module, and a big data analysis module. The present invention is based on facial recognition and uses an offline payment means, so that reliance on the Internet or a mobile terminal is not necessary, and security is enhanced.
