Abstract
A method of producing a fermentation product derived from stems and leaves of a gramineous plant includes the steps of: (A) separating a squeezed juice and a solid content by adding a hydrous liquid to the stems and leaves of a gramineous plant and by squeezing; (B) hydrolyzing the solid content by adding at least one of catalyst selected from sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, phosphoric acid, sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide, ammonia, and a mixture thereof to the solid content separated in the step (A); (C) saccharifying the squeezed juiced obtained in the step (A) and a hydrolyzate obtained in the step (B) by mixing the squeezed juice obtained in the step (A) and a hydrolyzate obtained in the step (B) by mixing the squeezed juice obtained in the step (A) and a hydrolyzate obtained the step (B) to obtain a mixture and sccharifying the mixture by an enzyme; and (D) fermenting a saccharified liquid obtained in the step (C) by microorganisms.
