Abstract

Ergonomically Designed Relaxing Pillow with Built-In Massager is an invention consists of excess cotton pads with a built-in massager made from unnecessary wastes. This cotton pad is made up of 60 pcnt Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) and 40 pcnt cotton. The inventors developed a new and improved product that serve as a lumbar support to give the user the comfort they need. Because of its ergonomic design, the invention helps people in reducing risks of having neck and back pain. This invention also help in decreasing environmental problems through segregation, reusing and recycling. The product is an ergonomically designed relaxing pillow with built-in massager. It consists of headrest so that the user could relax his/her head or neck while reclining. It has armrest so that arms and elbows are comfortable while using the product. Built-in massager was also provided along the lumbar area and it serves as a cushion since the massager was designed to be embossed in the lumbar part of the product to help the user in following the naturalS-shape of the body. Massagers helps in reducing pain and stress in the lower back of the user. The massager has an on and off switch and is used to relieve tension, promote relaxation and help the parts of the body in relaxing the muscles and body tissues. Moreover, the design of the structure of the backrest was based on the anthropometric measurement of the human body.
