Abstract
Provided is a solvent extraction method in which when a solution containing a polymeric coagulant is subjected to solvent extraction, crud formation during the solvent extraction can be efficiently prevented to reduce the loss of valuable metal components to be extracted and to inhibit the cost of chemicals concerning organic solvents from increasing. The solvent extraction method according to the present invention comprises mixing a sulfuric acid solution containing a polymeric coagulant with an organic extractant to extract the metal ions contained in the sulfuric acid solution with the organic extractant, and is characterized in that the sulfuric acid solution is brought into contact with activated carbon before being mixed with the organic extractant.
