Abstract

A charging control device (40) controls a charging device (12) for charging a secondary battery (20) of an electric vehicle (18). The charging control device (40) controls the charging device (12) so as to charge the secondary battery (20) such that the amount of remaining charged power of the secondary battery (20) of the electric vehicle (18) is greater than or equal to an estimated necessary power amount and does not exceed the amount of charging power that is supposed not to cause running out of electricity in the interval from when the charging to the secondary battery (20) is started to the time when a scheduled charging is started. This makes it possible to ensure an available capacity of the secondary battery (20) at the timing appropriate for charging the secondary battery (20) of the electric vehicle (18).
