Abstract
This method for constructing a cylindrical tank has a step for assembling a metal inner tank by alternately repeating the raising up of an inner tank side wall (9) by means of a jack-up device at the inside of a PC wall, and the welding of the next inner tank side wall (9) to the bottom of the raised inner tank side wall (9). The method has: a step for installing a plurality of gantry frames (10) for supporting the inner tank side wall (9) along the inside of the PC wall; and a step for installing, between adjacent gantry frames (10), a roller unit (100) provided with a support roller (110) having at the peripheral surface (110a) a groove (113) that is in accordance with the bevel shape of the inner tank side wall (9). By means of this method, it is possible to assemble the inner tank by conveying inner tank side walls to a predetermined welding position without crushing the bevel shape and without affecting other work.
