Abstract
A system and method of automation of broadcast monitoring for content detection involving steps to simultaneously capture media input from radio, television (TV) or media files generated from media input and data storage devices, identify content from the media such music, advertising or programs, and publish result of identified content. The method is automating the manual system of broadcast monitoring in order to accurately identify, track and audit TV and radio content, detect copyright claims, competitive monitoring, and review airing data.
Description
AUTOMATED BROADCAST MONITORING . ES
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION Er oe 1. Field of Invention Co ro
The present invention relates to media monitoring on radio, TV and broadcast - media to track and identify content such as advertising, program or music. rs 2. Description of the Background Art 1m
Collecting agencies, copyright owners, advertisers, media planners, market 2 : researchers conduct manual broadcast monitoring by hiring people to manually tag, identify > and track content being broadcasted such as music or advertising to be able to know the - airplay date, and frequency of the airplay. However, a person cannot monitor every content more so on a 24/7 worth of broadcast material. The existing manual monitoring is inaccurate, inefficient and costly. 3. Summary of Invention
The system offers automated broadcast monitoring of content from various sources such as radio, TV or any audio source. It automatically ingests broadcast feeds, auto-identify content such as commercials or music, collate data and publish reports on real-time. It generates data such as title, source, owner, duration, airplay date and time from captured broadcasts, and then aggregates data into various outputs such as feeds, dashboard and reports for business intelligence.
The system is a real-time broadcast monitoring that automatically identifies associated audio content. Content can be music, advertising or any radio or TV material.
Content feeds in media format are captured from selected sources through a multi-capture server which can be in a form of a server with receiver. The source can also be any device that produce media output. The capture server sends the files for identification of content.
When the content is identified against the reference database of the system, the identification oy service sends back the identified result for data processing. It generates data such as title, - ] source, owner, duration, airplay date and time from captured feeds, and then aggregates data ds into various outputs such as feeds, dashboard and reports. i oe

Claims (14)
1. A system for simultaneous automated capturing of media streams from single to tiple = devices which transform analog signals into digital. . “By ~3 ER Ai, ” A
2. A method in Claim 1, wherein a server with multiple receivers of broadcastsig 15 which =r connects each of its receiver to one media input device in order to attaghi to an intertice - that buffers data from the device from memory to disk. Se 1
3. A method in Claim 1, wherein a signal interference based on the configuration threshold - is activated while decoding to alert current sample media quality in terms noise or silence; -
4. A method in Claim 1, wherein the capture and storing of data is according to the o configuration of the available multiple transfer protocol and decoding criteria.
5. A method in Claim 1, wherein source of media aside from multiple streams may be from client, mobile or storage device that would be sent to a server once available and chosen to be queued for processing via available network connection online or offline.
6. A system that reads from a storage for media files or receives media files to be queued for processing of identification of content in the media file in such a way that the file gets to be divided into partitions according to set configuration of segment for parallel processing.
7. A method in Claim 6, wherein the partition is a segment of a file based on a pointer that is added to the list as a message to the list of partitions to be processed for content identification,
8. A system that picks a task from the message queue in Claim 7 to extract the signature of the partition to search for results matching the signature in the existing signature references.
9. A system wherein the extracted signature is sent to an engine that searches for matches from the existing signature references and returns results of the match.
10. A method in Claim 8, wherein it receives the collated results and select the best position = : in the partition of the top match based on configuration of allowed window of duration - within the partition. oo
11. A method in Claim 8, wherein the top match and best position of identified content from = the file gets published to display the result for reporting purposes to a front-end module. =
12. A method in Claim 8, wherein the sending of extracted signature is from each task that . points to the file of the partition to make the processing of identification faster. o
13. A system that enables content registration of the media from a front-end and back-end - modules that consists method classifying the content as similar, existing and new content p to be part of the signature references. -
14. A method in Claim 13, wherein it allows saving of similar and existing content to the wv signature references.
