Abstract

The main problem of C. officinalis L (cinnamon tree) is the spread, which, together with the increase in deforestation due to the country's agricultural expansion, has turned the habitat of C. officinalis L into one of the most vulnerable ecosystems. which generates concerns about the decrease in its population and possible extinction, due to its selective edaphoclimatic requirement for its development (Buddenhagen, et al. 2004); Due to this, this research work was carried out with the purpose of providing a solution to one of the main difficulties (germination) in the recovery process of degraded areas with native species. For this, a geodesic dome type system and botanical seeds of C. officinalis L (independent variables) were used and agronomic parameters (dependent variables) were measured in a completely randomized experimental design with a 2x2 factorial arrangement, establishing four treatments (T1: 500ppmKN03 +White LED light 24W, T2: 1000ppmKN03 +White LED light 24W, T3: 500ppmKN03 +Purple LED light 24W, T4: 1000ppmKN03 +Purple LEO light 24W) and a control that was developed in conventional nursery conditions. The results showed that the geodesic dome system with photovoltaic energy was more efficient in treatment T4 where 1.5 germinated seeds/day on average, 72.5% of germinated seeds and 1.93 cm seedling height on average were obtained. ; which would result in a practical application to improve the efficiency in the germination of C. officinalis L., contributing to solving the problem of its propagation for the purposes of reforestation and conservation of this important species.
