Abstract

Refers to a composition of feed for aquaculture in the form of a pellet of a size less than 500 micrometers, which comprises 60% - 85% by weight of protein, at least 0.1% by weight of charcoal, between 5-22% or 8-20% by weight of fat, at least 4% by weight of phospholipids, less than 16% by weight of starch, between 1-28% or 4-22% by weight of ash, between 1.0-11.0% in weight of algae meal comprising DHA, and defatted fish meal. Said composition is used to feed fish and/or shrimp larvae, or to improve their survival rate. Likewise, it refers to methods to prepare the present composition; to feed fish and shrimp larvae with a set of feed compositions and where the pellet is of different size; and to improve the accuracy and consistency of feed delivery to fish and shrimp larvae.
