Abstract

La presente invencion se basa en la elaboracion de briquetas de biochar con arcilla teniendo como materia prima residuos organicos: cascara de frijol, alverja, yuca, platano y calabaza a traves de la pirolisis solar. Por ello, se realizo una investigacion que se centro en evaluar el poder calorifico de briquetas de biochar a partir de residuos organicos domiciliarios (cascaras). Las cascaras fueron cortadas, luego secado al aire libre hasta lograr 12 % de humedad, para despues someter al proceso de pirolisis solar utilizando una cocina solar con geometria de un concentrador cilindro parabolico cuyo producto obtenido fue el biochar. Despues el biochar se pulverizo, y luego se mezclo con aglomerantes naturales (fecula de yuca y arcilla). La relacion de mezcla de 4:1 de materia prima y aglomerante fue agregada agua y dicha mezcla fue compactada en una prensa mecanica manual. Se obtuvo briquetas de forma cilindricas que fueron secas hasta una humedad 12 %. De ahi, se realizo prueba de encendido, combustion y poder calorifico. Los resultados determinan que la briqueta de biochar mas fecula de yuca se enciende en menor tiempo que la briqueta de biochar mas arcilla y el carbon vegetal. Asi tambien, el poder calorifico superior, la briqueta de biochar mas fecula de yuca presenta un valor de 4750.75 kcal/kg y la briqueta de biochar con arcilla tuvo un valor 4287.16 kcal/kg. Dichos valores, son similares al poder calorificos del carbon vegetal, por lo que, las briquetas elaboradas en el estudio son una alternativa como combustibles solidos amigables con el ambiente y contribuyen a una gestion de residuos organicos que impulsa la transicion energetica sostenible.
