Abstract
La aplicacion de una biela con cuerpo en forma de linea quebrada en los motores de combustion interna alternativos y los compresores de tipo piston, le dan unas ventajas bastante sustanciales sobre los equipos que no usan este nuevo elemento biela con cuerpo de linea quebrada. El elemento biela con cuerpo de linea quebrada es un elemento que trabaja con grandes cargas tanto a la traccion, compresion y flexion en forma alterna e ininterrumpida, es decir, trabaja a cargas ciclicas y como tal debe ser un elemento que por su naturaleza de trabajo bien estudiado para que no ocasione fallas y roturas en el interior del motor o compresor. La forma de linea quebrada de la biela propuesta, ayuda a aprovechar mejor las fuerzas que se desarrollan en el cilindro del motor y ello depende del grado de desalineacion de las fuerzas concurrentes y de la geometria de cada motor.
